He sounds like someone who wants to be starting games, not sitting on the bench.

I like this lad but would he want to come up North, can we afford him and will he settle into the squad? Probably not going to happen..!

"Would he want to come up North ?"...Article says he was born in Stockport and has played for Rochdale and Rotherham !

Given when he signed for Reading I doubt he would come for the money we can offer given what we will have next season if we stay in this division.
Pushing for an automatic promotion slot, undefeated at home for 9 months, playing nice football and only 14,000 watched us on Jan 1st and I guess 2,000 of those were from Huddersfield. With that support we don't deserve any better than what we have.

Accept crowd was disappointing but when you factor in the weather and being New Years Day, it didn't come as a complete suprise.
Support at Wigan was brilliant, bar those who tried to change the facade of a pub down Gidlow Lane. If only we could replicate the vocal element at TM.

The atmosphere wasn't brilliant at Wigan?

That said, the game of nullifying each other out and having a game that was predominantly played in the middle third of the pitch, it was hardly conducive to a brilliant atmosphere.

Yes there were pockets of singing but, its a long long way off from the nights playing Chelsea and Spurs - they were special games with atmosphere.

I agree with Homer that the atmosphere at Wigan wasn't that great. If I'd have been in the Wigan end I'd have thought - hmm lot of fans but where's the noise!

We were quiet against Huddersfield too - but so were they.

Perhaps there's an aire of pessimism that we will eventually fall down below 6th. It's a strange one.

Just seems to be the thing at the moment. I'd expect it to pick up in the final quarter of the season if we're still within the top 3 or 4

As for Le Fondre - I can't see Reading offering him to us on loan tbh, although if they did I think he'd be a great signing at this level
