Outside the rain is back again and the wind siren singing, but all is comfortable and calm in my living room. Must be a very different feeling for those living near the coast tonight. Lets hope its not as bad for them as the forecasters predict.

I wonder if anymore brain donors will be going for a drunken swim tonight?

My school friends in Rhyl are very worried about the weather and rising tide alerts etc up there.

I thought the subject referred to the return of ABC's endless new posts clogging up claretsmad.

Are the mods not back until Monday or something?

It is strange Darth, think they must have coastal abodes. Whilst the mice are away, the big game will play.

Media scaremongery and look at the sacks taken in by it

Nothing water related though. Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall snatched them off the street and is forcing them to work on a smallholding.

That's Axminster for you, still tugging their forlock.

Not too bad here in Blackpool at the moment. Just been along the seafront with the dog and I think the winds were stronger yesterday.

It's due to get worse tomorrow but still not anything to worry about.

Fingers crossed. :)

BBC West news were just broadcasting from the seafront where I am.
There`s a major risk of the waves breaching the sea wall at high tide tomorrow morning.
Also the rivers and drains are all full. And its hammering down outside :O

Floods warnings all around our coast here on t'IOM with a surge approaching 80cm higher than the normal maximum tide.
Sandbags are at a premium.

Which one do you want, droughts or flash floods?
