According to Talk Sport Nahki Wells could be available for around 1.5m!!
Surely we can afford that can't we??

A bit more info on the situation down at Bradford.

He will be sold in January I would imagine. - view external link (http://tinyurl.com/podxsxq)

hopefully his value would increase during his time at Turf Moor

...and the conveyor belt continues! :D

Just come up on Sky a 7 figure sum has been refused and Huddersfield are 8/11 favs to sign him, we are not even in the running :blue: our scouts must not be back until Monday.

or we just don't have the money to spend on him whilst we have 750k potentially tied up with Barnes at BHA?

2m for someone thats not played at championship level.. What did we pay for Ings or Austin?

...or we're not interested in him.

There is only Bradford and Wells' agent who thinks he is worth ?2,000,000.

His goalscoring record is really excellent, almost comparable to Austin when he moved up. He's probably as sure a bet as you get in the lower leagues. 1.5mish is a lot of money for someone who hasn't played in the Championship, but he could be worth four or five times that in two years, easily. I reckon someone will do very, very well out of buying Wells.

He's a decent prospect, but I can see why Barnes, who is a bit more proven and perhaps has an extra dimension or two to his game, is the one towards the top of our radar.

Wells seems to me to come under the bracket 'potential replacement for Ings' should that ever be necessary, whether now or in the summer.

Would represent a punt element of risk as with any lower league striker stepping up i guess the valuation would reflect that over 2 mill wouldnt touch.

Would expect Wells to be gone from Bradford by Feb 1st, Leeds,Reading,Qpr, Udderfeiles are all looking for some extra firepower up front, Arry needs someone to play alongside Charlie Boy, god he must have bad BO as i thought they already had half the bloody forwards in the Championship :D

Should we not be looking to bring in Ings replacement now, giving a new player a chance to settle without big pressure on him to be our star player immediately?

In the last few years thats what we have tended to do and it has worked well

I reckon we could get him for around 1.75m but we probably haven't got that amount of money or willing to speculate that much which would be a pity as he could turn out to be a gem and, if we don't go up, a good replacement for Ings who will more than likely move on in the summer for much more.
