If you want to start people getting worried about Tripper leaving, think if you have a defender out on loan you bring him back early so he can play in cup tie there by meaning a defender can be left out so as to not be cup tied.
I hope im wrong and maybe he is comming to play at right back and push forward trips to play midfield winger type role.

Maybe he's been recalled ONE day early as we need him to fill a place on the bench due to players missing tomorrow with knocks.

It's going to be a long month for you worrying about players leaving!

My thoughts also pureclaret when I saw they were recalling Mills, never considered moving trips to midfield just that we didn't want to cup tie him.

Its hard to disagree, or agree for that matter, with anything in the opening post.

Could O'Neill be being lined up as a potential centre mid back up aswell as right back?

Played some football there for York but not sure how much and seemed to impress their in general

I would play all the reserves anybody who does not play normally, even leave the lads off the the bench out as well, than we can have a fire sale after the weekend get rid of all the first team and bench, that will keep loads of people happy, or maybe Mr Dyche is going to use a bit of cop on and say lets give a few lads a rest as we tend to use the same 13-14 players every game.
I would certainly rest Ings and Vokes stick Noble up front with kightly, who cares promotion has to be our number one aim, plus i have backed us from 50/1 down to 7/1 so far, and if we win the the league, I will be one happy Soul XD

I don't understand the OP's choice of subject title when this is about a loan player returning.

Trippier is obviously going to QPR to supply Charlie with another fifteen goals that will guarantee promotion for 'Arry. God help us!

The cup is such a low priority for most clubs these days that whether a player is cup-tied won't even be a consideration, so I don't think O'Neill's recall has any relevance whatsoever as to whether Tripps stays or goes.

The sad fact (coz I'm a big fan of the cup) is that with the size of our squad and our current league position, the cup is a luxury we can't afford. I expect Duff, Mee, Arfield, Ings,Vokes and possibly Trippier to be rested today, but that doesn't mean they're all going to be sold.

What about Hogan at Rochdale - scored 12 this season. Apparently ran Leeds ragged this afternoon.

Incidentally Sylvain Ebanks Blake limped off injured after 23mins this avo

Well, scouseclaret, only Duff didn't play of your list and the way both teams played suggested they both took it very seriously. But I get your main point. I used to look forward to the 3rd round so much in the old days. It just isn't the same anymore.

Hogan sounds interesting.

We tend to wait so long after identifying a player, that other more prosperous clubs get the cherries.

It's funny how someone has mentioned Hogan at Rochdale, because they have another player who is worth a look at - Ian Henderson.

I have heard a bit about him this season, seen him play a few times and met up with him - he is a good little player, not too dis-similar to Ings, and he is a bit of a character.

Did anyone see that goal he scored against Leeds?

Henderson is 28 , played 280 or so league games and scored just 40 goals . :(
