This team is head and shoulders better than team that went up in almost every position apart from eagles in my opinion yet its never enough on this board.Lets be thank full for what we have got .

I wouldn't want Eagles in the team. And I bet, nor would Sean. I'm satisfied. Just a midfield cover for Jones/Marney and I'll be very satisfied.

Ormy, we've been in need of two players for months. We needed another striker (check!) and a centre midfielder in the Marney box to box mould. If we're serious about our promotion credentials then we need a midfielder as well as Barnes.

It's not like everyone is saying we need 5 or 6 players, and in lots of positions.

This side isn't head and shoulders better, Eagles isn't needed and almost everyone on this board is happy how things are going.

Apart from that, you've nailed it.

Totally agree cover for central mid fair enough but on another thread people are suggesting wingers / full back cover ? I can bet your bottom dollar if and when the central midfielder comes they will be posts for wingers.

Happy how things are going but even Real Madrid sign new players!

Notts i didnt suggest we got eagles back i just referred to him being the only player that i would have had in this current team to the 1 which went up.

So who would Eagles replace. Not Arfield for Christ's sake?

Its just my opinion quicknick dont take it personal

"in almost every position apart from eagles"

I'd agree totally that the bench isn't strong enough

Eagles wasn't even guaranteed a start in our promotion season. Indeed he didn't start at Wembley, was subbed after 60 in our home leg against Reading and came on late at the Madjeski.

If we manage to get another good midfielder, and hopefully we will, then I would imagine any other signings would only be on a 'one out one in' basis which is absolutely fine...as long as it is not Ings and Tripps out :/
