Wednesday 1-0 up after appalling defending by Leeds. Promotion push my arse!! ;D

11-01-2014, 12:01 PM
Make that 2-0!! They are bobbins!!

11-01-2014, 12:02 PM
2-0 now, they are sh**te!!!

11-01-2014, 12:27 PM
straight red for Matt Smith, Leeds down to 10 men, How long has he been on the field? 3 mins, if that?

11-01-2014, 12:28 PM
connor wickham, 3-0

11-01-2014, 12:38 PM
Could have our work cut out next week.

11-01-2014, 12:43 PM
No - good news that they are thrashing Leeds. Wednesday have a habit of throwing in a good performance, winning comfortably then dropping back to being rubbish again the week after.

Better they get their good performance out of the way against Leeds before they ravel to Barad Moor! ;)

11-01-2014, 12:43 PM
'Could have our work cut out next week'

Leeds haven't pressed them enough and given them too much time on the ball. I hope we'll close them down much much faster than Leeds have.

4-0 now.

11-01-2014, 12:52 PM
Sheffield have done a great job holding Leeds back from playoff positions today. Hopefully by 5pm, we will be a further 3 points clear of them & 15 in total.

11-01-2014, 12:55 PM
Let's be realistic about this game. Sheffield Wednesday have done ok but they are playing against side woefully out of form, down to 10 men and probably would have been beaten by a non league team today. Of the goals today I would say only 1 of them was a fairly well worked goal but that's up for discussion and the other 4 have been rank bad defending and good fortune.

11-01-2014, 12:55 PM
Leeds could do with someone like Ashley Barnes. :)

11-01-2014, 12:59 PM
5-0 and still over 10 mins to go.

Leeds,they keep on giving! XD

11-01-2014, 12:59 PM
5 nil with 10 mins to go

11-01-2014, 12:59 PM
What a game. We want 6

11-01-2014, 01:10 PM
We got 6

11-01-2014, 01:11 PM
Leeds drop a position without the other teams playing. Big club (snigger).

11-01-2014, 01:13 PM
Game over. 6 nil.

Yesterday dozens of Leeds fans on Twiiter were saying why has Barnes signed for small town Burnley?

11-01-2014, 01:14 PM
"Leeds could do with someone like Ashley Barnes. :) "

Funnily enough, on the Leeds mad site they were laughing at the prospect of Barnes joining us when such a big team as themselves were in for him. Same as Wells, who they said something along the lines of 'I can't see that he'd choose Huddersfield over us (the mighty ones)'.

Upon Barnes signing for us, and Wells for Udders, their posts then turned to 'wouldn't be good enough for us anyway'.

Hahaha if Carlsberg did deluded fans...

Only got my haircut 5 days ago but think I'll have to have it cut again on Monday so that I can really take the p!ss out of my Leeds supporting hairdresser! :D

11-01-2014, 01:29 PM

11-01-2014, 01:53 PM
Too late,I already am bald so my hairdresser will be cutting into my scalp but it'll be worth it! :D

11-01-2014, 01:58 PM

Leeds are the biggest team in the league to lose 6 nil.
Well done to them. They must be proud.

11-01-2014, 03:36 PM
Is it only me who thinks this scoreline could benefit us next weekend?
Weeds play Leicester and Bell End road and I'd expect them to be right up for it.
A performance at home like the one the put in today wouldn't be a pleasant experience for the team!

11-01-2014, 04:11 PM
It most certainly was a bad day at the office for Leeds.

According to BBC Sport, defender Jason Pearce forgot to take the price tag of his replica kit.

11-01-2014, 04:18 PM
Loved the one on Leeds forum SCORE PREDICTION

11-01-2014, 04:29 PM
I don't think it's too late to add a snigger to this thread.

11-01-2014, 04:43 PM
I'll be honest, I'm still wondering why Ashley Barnes chose us over Leeds...

11-01-2014, 07:35 PM
But it's not all bad news for Leeds. Cameron Stewart chose them ahead of Burnley. :D

(He made his debut for them today. The first game of a 3.5 year contract. XD )

11-01-2014, 08:03 PM
Replica kit? Not good enough for a real one?

11-01-2014, 08:14 PM
A bad day at the office for them...Yer if your office is on fire & you're drenched with petrol!

11-01-2014, 10:40 PM
I'm guessing no one will mind if Leeds get more time then anyone else on the FL show tonight will they??

11-01-2014, 11:24 PM
Not at all Sid. :)

Just to add that Leeds v Leicester is a midday kick off next Saturday.
Can't imagine why. :(

11-01-2014, 11:38 PM
Had to chuckle tonight talking to my Owls mate. He was rubbing his hands together with glee at the result and pointing out that we were in for a rough time next week. Normally I don't gloat (it always comes back to bite you) but I just said we wouldn't give them as much space as Leeds did and it would be a different game. The response was "they had no chance, we were just too good for them. they had no choice but to give us space"

He looks at the world via blue and white lenses mind. After losing at home to us this season he said we were lucky and would be fighting relegation (I said I was confident of mid table because we were solid looking) - he reckoned they were top ten material easy.

The best was at our late summer BBQ he was arguing with my son about results (at this point they had failed to win once and were firmly at the bottom) and moaning about how good they were and better than us and how we were due a fall when our City (and bizarrely Accrington and Burnley) following fr

Three laughing smilies short there, DiB.

Babylon, that's reaaly funny. Yorkshire fans are always so deluded. And I'm from Yarkshire but I am at least a Claret. EAST LANCS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

12-01-2014, 01:08 AM
To be fair to Graham his missus is from Barlick so his family is split Wednesday/Burnley. And all his in-laws are Clarets so he is a bit biased against us.

He proper can't stand Leeds though.

12-01-2014, 11:26 AM
It is that delicate balance in January. A team strengthening can also signal to the rest that they are not good enough and or unwanted.

Morale destroyed in a flash.

Take Leicester and Cardiff in past seasons. They added players and others shrank.

Our mystic manager seems to have the right words and we all knew we needed or or two in the striking department.

"Only got my haircut 5 days ago but think I'll have to have it cut again on Monday so that I can really take the p!ss out of my Leeds supporting hairdresser"! :D

Well I did pop in to see Ben the hairdresser today not to get my haircut again but in passing by just popped in purely to take the p1ss.

He was cutting someones hair but as he carried on I just reminded him that

1)Leeds lost 6-0 to Sheff Wed
2)Leeds pointwise are now nearer the bottom team than the top team.
3)Burnley are ahead of Leeds by 15 points
4)Ashley Barnes was wanted by Leeds but preferred to join us as we had a far greater chance of promotion to the Premier League and Burnley were a much bigger club than Leeds.

I don't think that I missed anything out but by this time I felt a bit sorry for him so I stopped the p1ss take as although he's a Leeds fan unusually for such a person he's also a really nice guy although a bit deluded.

I just said to him that I'd leave him be until next Monday when I would next pop i
