Might have something to do with the lack of defeats at home.

19 unbeaten at home, beats previous of 18.

Best post war run of league games at home without defeat - 19. Best start post war is 17 in 1990/91 and we've hit 15 today.

Hull 1-0 in that terrible Monday night game. Was a 0-0 all the way but we somehow lost. Summed their season up!:blue:

Just checked again. counted our league cup defeat early on :blue: We did indeed go 17 league games at home. In fact only lost one league game all season, won 17 and drew 5, yet only made the play offs due to the away form. Away form let us down with 12 defeats but only 4 points separated the top 6 teams.
We have some tough games ahead to try and keep the run going.

We lost to Chesterfield in 91, 1-0. I was on a football trip as a 13 year old down Somerset, and the team we played rubbed it right in as we'd all been gloating that we're bound to have battered Chesterfield as we don't get beaten at home. Gutted when we watched the scores come up.

And then we had that fantastic following season, mdd.:D

We did too. Inauspicious start and then we appointed Jimmy Mullen and he was the one person I did not want as manager. I think all the managers who came before him after Casper left and Bond came in were in my opinion going to take the club forward. Remember going to Wrexham and wanting to lose so that JM would not get the lob. What a performance that was. The rest is history. JM's C&B Army. Loved it.
