Radio 5 interviewed a Paddy Power spokesman...in fact someone who actually was introduced as Paddy Power himself...yesterday and he genuinely seemed to fail to see why anyone should take offence.
I'm not one for being overly-sensitive or PC but you have to say that this is massively offensive to the deceased's family, albeit that they are a few thousand miles away, and the extra twist of "Money back if he walks" given Pistorius's particular disability is also right on the edge.
All in all pretty incredible in these times.

Great advertising tbh.

Upset some people , got their in the news, raised their profile, job done.

Plus its actually quite an amusing advert.

You can't use the word 'paddy' any more because it may offend the Irish.

There's also the fact that I think they'll only give you a maximum of AŁ20 back if he is found Not Guilty, so in itself it's false advertising, as well as the moral side of things.

I honestly didn't know bookies offered murder trial markets.

You learn something new every day.

Hilarious pompous PC posts - yet again.

It's a bit of fun...

Oh and B_O_T - how very dare you...it's the Taffs masquerading as Paddys that you need to be wary of...(cue malwayne to berate me again).

Hilarious pompous PC posts - yet again.

I think you're paranoid, mate. I know footymad had gone to $hit tonight and it's taking an age to load anything, so please excuse if I've missed it, but any chance you could point me in the direction of the pomposity?
