View Full Version : How are you following the game tomorrow ?

21-03-2014, 08:45 PM
There will be 1500 approx at the Valley i would think.

I'll be spending the 90 watching Jeff on Sky as i usually do if i don't go away.

Anyone avoiding the score until 4.55 ?

What's the plans ?

21-03-2014, 08:55 PM
from the away end...

21-03-2014, 09:01 PM
Part of the 1500, yelling like a madman and going home with a "Dyche voice".

21-03-2014, 09:06 PM
Posted on another thread but do they play Rugby at the valley?

21-03-2014, 09:10 PM
I would have thought that there'll be more than 1,500 there.

I was given the impression that all the tickets were sold and with pay on't gate the numbers will be up.

Any road, I don't do long trips anymore unless it's a weekend job, so it'll be the wireless for me.

21-03-2014, 09:11 PM
The pitch is a shocker Toby but one positive from missing 2 of our best players in Ings and Trippier is that their replacements are very good in the air.

Charlton have won 2 of their last 3 at the Valley with headers from last minute corners. If the team is what i think it will be, we will have 6 jumpers to compete from opposition set pieces, 4 of whom have played at centre half.

They haven't conceded from the last 4 so it will be a real battle, but I fancy us to sneak it.

21-03-2014, 09:33 PM
With the irrepressible Phil Bird on Clarets Player.
Always a pleasure to hear the tension and emotion he brings to the commentary. Should be screaming when we hit the net again and again and again!

21-03-2014, 09:58 PM
Just poured the wife another vodka in the hope that she won't remember finally agreeing to say yes to me going tomorrow (we have tonnes of stuff on and I shouldn't really).

But hope to be on the bus from Accy to Manchester and then grab a train to Euston and onto London Bridge and home for supper.

I'll soon be forgiven - or divorced.

21-03-2014, 10:12 PM
I'll be sleeping through the whole game

21-03-2014, 10:13 PM
On the loo sh*****g myself until season end

21-03-2014, 10:17 PM
Listening on Radio Lancashire, no doubt they will go for an update on a local home match just as we score as often happens during the season! :D

21-03-2014, 10:23 PM
Texts from 2 of my pals who are going.

We're at a 40th birthday do at the League and looking forward to meeting lots of old pals and talking about a Burnley win and past and present days at Lowerhouse.

21-03-2014, 11:58 PM
Poxy little transistor radio, it's become my lucky charm.I turn it on with fear and trepidation. When I have dared to tune in for our recent away matches, always bang on time for a Claret goal.It sounds terrible, like someone frying bacon. But when the airwaves clear, we are on course for a win. Charlton should fear my radio.

22-03-2014, 12:01 AM
SSNews and Radio Lancs. It'l be super coverage from Radio Lancs as always - and although we are the best side in Lancashire, we're not the only one, so give them a break when they mention the barsturads getting licked.

22-03-2014, 04:34 AM
Jeff Stelling on the tab, praying we don't get a jinx reporter like John Salako.
2 windows open on pc. Listening to the Birdman on claretsplayer and on the match day thread. COYC.

22-03-2014, 04:44 AM
Phil Bird and Clarets Player for me...

Up the Clarets...

22-03-2014, 06:31 AM

22-03-2014, 07:56 AM
Gogo they don't have the rights to broadcast the game live "on-line"
It's a problem I've had whilst being out and about during the game and wanted to listen via iphone

22-03-2014, 07:57 AM
Wish I could get Radio Lancashire as well Buxtonclaret but happy with Jeff Stelling and the superb Matchthread.

Later this morning am off to watch my Grandson in the Newark Junior League Under 12's Cup Final for Collingham Cougars against Long Bennington Bulls and then home for the second half of Derby v Forest. (Come on Forest)

22-03-2014, 08:14 AM
Ah right. Cheers Wilks. I've noticed Bumburn and Lester are live on wiziwig.

May have that on with clarets player audio. Nice 3 points for the blue and white chicken chasers and 3 points for us will set up a nice start to saturday night :)

22-03-2014, 09:18 AM
At the game XD

22-03-2014, 09:23 AM
I'll be listening on clarets player and following the match thread on here. It seems to have served me well enough so far this season :-)

22-03-2014, 09:33 AM
Listening to RL with the sound down:/ whilst watching Jeff Stelling and wishing it was 5 o'clock and 3 points were safe and sound :O

22-03-2014, 09:40 AM
Radio Lancs for me, with England cricket on TV with sound down. And match thread on here.

22-03-2014, 11:55 AM
Clarets Player for me (if it bloody works)

They seriously need to sort this third world streaming system out, afterall they are quite happy taking the brass from mugs like myself without it seems upgrading the equipment, otherwise I will seriously look at cancelling the subscription!

22-03-2014, 12:07 PM
Thanks for the link, Gogo :)
But sadly, as Wilks says, they don't let you have the live coverage over the net.

Was half hoping someone would come up with a live stream of the wizi wig mould. But guess not. I've been looking and can't find anything.
Here's hoping Spades will make us all sausage butties on the match thread.:)

22-03-2014, 12:55 PM
She's too busy watching Cathedral gutters.

22-03-2014, 01:11 PM
Seems the falcons will be getting our butties then, Ty. XD
