Not the greatest ever video produced by our club

And narrated by the one and only 'JR'.

Anyone remember thes of the two racehorses pictured at the end of the video alongside trainer Jonjo O'Neill?

Take away the really broad northern accents which are quite cringe worthy and you have an excellent history video.

Really enjoyed it.

But cannot understand the decreased capacity of the Bob Lord Stand. To be honest it looked quite good before re developement.

All in all, really enjoyable classic video. Thanks

After a great day out at Charlton I made the mistake of watching this, or part it. I'll be haunted for weeks now having seen The Longside being dismantled and reduced to rubble. Heartbreaking. I know we had a few seasons posing in the CFS, but The Longside was our own place, bogs'n'all...:(

"But cannot understand the decreased capacity of the Bob Lord Stand. To be honest it looked quite good before re developement."

Came down to lack of money and the change in gambling laws in the early 70's, it was going to contain a casino which would have funded the stand but that was no longer possible and so we got a 3,000 seat stand with foundations in place for another tier.

fantastic memories...I loved the long side as a teenager- getting crushed and all the singing and the atmosphere- I also love
the fact that I could slip between the bars that divided the long side and the bee hole as I could walk from one stand to another

also great to see inchy on there?? what's he doing these days?? never forgot those two goals the score at sheff utd...
