Even now he has left a legacy, if he ever did leave us for bigger things, what he has done to this club is nothing short of miraculous.

As my dad says, this is the best Burnley side hes seen in 40 odd years, it beats the title winning 72-73 season for him, and we could actually have the most points total in a season ever, at the end of this season.

Unbelievable.

Won 24 drew 14 and lost 4 in 72-73 season and on a pro rata 46 games that would have been 94 points. As it was it would have been 86. I think that performance was better than this season. The team was also better. Just look how we did the following season. Unlike now, although money talked, it wasn't quite as loud and the playing field was a bit more level. Money issues did however lead to relegation but not immediately
