Plenty left for now.

Seems fairly similar to the Boro game thus far, hopefully the remaining 24 hours of sales (the ticket office being closed tomorrow) will see it get somewhere very close to full.

We'll know we're pretty much there when they start selling NL1.

19-04-2014, 12:00 PM
does anyone know if there are cash turnstiles?

19-04-2014, 12:15 PM
Nowhere near a sell out is it?

19-04-2014, 01:10 PM
It won't be unless they open the ticket office. :?

I really did think they would want to cash in on the euphoria after yesterdays result, but no.

19-04-2014, 02:16 PM
Must be a hell of lot of people buying tickets online today, you are placed in a que at the moment.

Never done this for previous home games. - view external link (http://www0.burnleyfc.talent-sport.co.uk/?returnUrl=http%3a%2f%2fwww.burnleyfc.talent-sport.co.uk%2fPagesPublic%2fHome%2fhome.aspx)

Wigan don't normally have a big away following, do we know how many they are bringing?

19-04-2014, 02:48 PM
They average over a thousand to away games and recently took over a thousand to Forest and three and a half thousand to Bolton.

Two thousand is a possibility on Monday.

19-04-2014, 03:03 PM
I got put in a queue about midnight for buying the Forest home game. I think it can happen even if you are the only one trying to buy a ticket!

19-04-2014, 07:42 PM
In fairness, they've sold well this afternoon.

In those enclosures that are on sale (apart from NL2, which you can't see) there would appear to be around 1,500 still available in the home ends.

Presumably, if NL1 is opened, that will make available another 400 or so tickets, and there's around another 200 or so which could be made available in the bottom of NL3.

So it looks as though at the minute, there might be a few over 2,000 available in the home ends.

Anyone questioning whether to go should make up their mind asap, and that really ought to involve them getting themselves a ticket because its a huge occasion.

To answer the above question - I'd seriously doubt there will be cash turnstiles, so I certainly wouldn't bank on it.

19-04-2014, 07:45 PM
Over 15,000 tickets sold so far (including Wigan fans). That's a lot higher than Middlesbrough was going into matchday.

19-04-2014, 07:59 PM
General question: Do Burnley offer senior citizen prices for their tickets? -no option on the website when trying to buy tickets and I couldn't get through to the ticket office today.

19-04-2014, 08:07 PM
You can only buy a senior ticket online if you qualify for one

19-04-2014, 08:19 PM
It's for my Dad rather than me. He is over from Ireland and fancied going to watch a game. To be truthful I am not a Burnley fan, I registered online and tried to buy some tickets but there was no option for senior citizens. I tried to ring the ticket office but it was taking ages to get through.

Another question, if I do buy tickets I will obviously need to collect them from the ticket office - is there likely to be an extremely long queue with it being such a big game?

19-04-2014, 08:47 PM
You need to register yourself for a clarets number and then register your dad.

Put two tickets in the basket and then change one to your Dads clarets number and the discount should be applied.

Very complex but this is Burnley.

19-04-2014, 08:50 PM
And yes there will be a very long queue.

19-04-2014, 08:52 PM
Barry, the queue for buying tickets always tends to be very long but if you are picking up tickets already paid for then there should be no queue and no problem. You collect them from the office a little further down from the ticket office.

19-04-2014, 09:08 PM
For f--k sake, fill the place even if you have bring a blow up doll lol

20-04-2014, 12:06 PM
I 'm no expert, but a glance at the online ticket site suggests to me that this one will sell out for sure.

If you want to go I'd get in there quick.

20-04-2014, 12:27 PM
over 17000 sold so far with 1200 from wigan suggests theres around 2000 tickets left.

20-04-2014, 05:55 PM
Even the James H stand is looking very full.

20-04-2014, 06:02 PM
It's a long time since we were promoted at home
it should sell out,lets see?

20-04-2014, 06:11 PM
1981-82, I seem to remember. Then we grabbed the title at home a bit later.

20-04-2014, 06:11 PM
I have just checked the online ticket availability and roughly worked out how many tickets left...

JHL = 71
JHU = 632
JML = 506
JMU = 453
BL = 80

Total left 1,742

Going to be a sell out for me B)

20-04-2014, 06:25 PM
There are a few other seats that aren't available online, so that will be a few hundred extra.

Expect the lower ties to sell out for the possibly pitch invasion.

20-04-2014, 06:49 PM
I imagine a 18,500-19,000 crowd after sales tomorrow. Best crowd of the season.

Come on boys!!!

20-04-2014, 07:40 PM
Thinking of making the 200 mile journey for the game. Will I be wasting my time in hoping I can either queue for a ticket or pay cash at the turnstile ?

20-04-2014, 07:48 PM
I expect there may only be cash turnstiles in the Jimmy McIlroy stand if you arrive just before kick off but if you can get here a few hours before kick off then the ticket office may be okay, there will probably be queues all morning though.

Buy online and collect if you are sure you can make it.

20-04-2014, 08:02 PM
Espia - I will be at the ground at 1.15 and will get you a ticket if you are sure to be there before 2.50 to collect it from me.

20-04-2014, 09:01 PM
just got my tickets. i've been trying since teatime online. cant believe it wont sell out. utc

20-04-2014, 09:26 PM
Another full house (in the home ends) v Wigan.

Reminds me of the first game after signing Ian Wright Wright Wright back in 2000.

20-04-2014, 09:35 PM
It may or may not sell out tomorrow but i think the best advice would be to order online tonight or first thing in the morning (sales normally cease around 10am ish).

If you are planning to go to the ticket office then i'd suggest prior to lunchtime and probably well before this, as after this time it will be manic.

If you don't then i expect the only place to pay on the turnstiles will be in the Jimmy McIlroy stand and that might not be where you want to sit.

20-04-2014, 09:48 PM

Sunday at 10.35pm

The five blue areas in the James Hargreaves Stand contain only 65 available seats so you are looking at a couple of hundred in the outer blocks, the Bob Lord Stand has only 94 seats available and quite a few of those are restricted views.

Blocks One and Nine of the James Hargreaves Lower may be available at the ticket office but aren't available online.

The advice must be either order online tonight or set the alarm clock in the morning.

20-04-2014, 10:12 PM
If enough people turn up and it looked like being full in the home ends what is the chance of opening the CFS?

20-04-2014, 10:21 PM
Nil, CFS. They couldn't arrange the stewarding at short notice, and Wigan should bring a fair few anyway.

20-04-2014, 10:30 PM
Spice, nl3 is season ticket only.

21-04-2014, 05:39 AM
Has everyone come back from their Easter holidays ??

21-04-2014, 08:15 AM

Picture from 8.30am this morning, posted on twitter

21-04-2014, 08:19 AM

9.15am, ticket office opening time.

Don't leave it till the last minute, get yourself down there this morning to get your tickets.

21-04-2014, 08:28 AM
For anyone going today who still needs to buy a ticket I have just been told that the queue at the ticket office has already gone beyond the Bob Lord Stabd reception. I would get down there very quickly if I were you or get online and order them.

21-04-2014, 08:37 AM
Online sales now finished, you need to go to the ticket office or use the phone. - view external link (http://www.burnleyfootballclub.com/news/article/gottobethere-210114-1295550.aspx)

21-04-2014, 08:38 AM
Office opened bang on nine...I got 3 tickets shortly afterwards. There are about 150 people queuing and the Q as mentioned goes down to the Bob Lord Reception...UTC

21-04-2014, 08:40 AM
Hopefully every seat will be available for sale, it's a pity we can't open up the Cricket Field Stand for an extra 1,500 seats.

It's pay on the day in the away end and that could be an issue.

21-04-2014, 09:10 AM
I drove past the ticket office about 20 mins ago and the que was quite lengthy. Good luck to those trying to get a ticket today. It will be a sell out in our end. I hope the club release the tickets in the JH lower, it would be ridiculous to have empty seats when people want to be at the game today. Up the Clarets

21-04-2014, 09:27 AM
Great news if we sell out. Doubt Wigan will bring more than 1500

21-04-2014, 09:38 AM
Tweet from club.

Unlikely to be any cash turnstiles today, except away end.

That'll be fun then!!!!

21-04-2014, 09:38 AM
clubs just announced there will be NO CASH TUNSTILES as tickets are selling that fast. Shame they can't open the CFS for cash turnstiles.

21-04-2014, 09:46 AM
Like mentioned queue to bob lord entrance, but it was moving quite fast with about 6 serving in the ticket office. I'd say 40 minute queue.
Looked on the online ticket sales before I went down and there were quite a few in the nu2 and loads in nu1. When i got to the front of the queue there 3 singles in block 2 and a hand full in block 1.

Small gripes, no phone sales this morning and people who ordered online/over the phone beforehand had to queue with everyone else-instead of from the little office at the side of ticket office. I know these people could pick up at anytime before the game but seemed unfair.

21-04-2014, 09:51 AM
Ordered mine and my son`s tickets last night around 9pm using the online ticket service.
Glad i did as we could only get in block 9 of JHU.
It`s going to be a sell out in the Burnley stands for sure.
Lets all roar the Claret`s on to promotion.

21-04-2014, 09:55 AM
There could be a fair few clarets in the away end at this rate.

Could be fun

21-04-2014, 10:15 AM
A bit of quick action from the club is needed here.
Get that partitioning cover down the CFS where the pie-eaters are.
Position the jobsworths on the other side then let any Clarets fans without tickets in through cash turnstiles.
Better than having angry fans wandering around outside.

21-04-2014, 10:42 AM
Wigan fans can get tickets on the day and pay on the day too... wish I was there today...

21-04-2014, 10:51 AM
club just tweeted that there are no plans to let burnley fans in CFS. Nothing to stop them as there are cash turnstiles on the away end.

21-04-2014, 10:54 AM
From the Club's website - NB: The ticket office will be open until half time.!!!

21-04-2014, 10:56 AM
'There could be a fair few clarets in the away end at this rate.

Could be fun'

Very similar to the Ian Wright Wigan game.

It was all quite pleasant a calm in there that day, apart from the police escorting Burnley fans out all game (I mean every 5 minutes).

There were around 3,500 fans in there that day but not all were visitors. :)
