Anyone else have the misfortune of having to watch the game on ITV/STV?

Absolutely cannot stand Andy Townsend. As an ex-professional, he surely understands the merit of 'taking one for the team', but is complaining about fouls that 99.99% of footballers (professional or amateur) would make, yet continues to complain/not understand why they do it.

Gone for a draw myself, as an aside.

Pretty poor so far, not much quality on show.

Typical Spanish football though - plenty of diving, particularly from the Real Madrid players. Coentrao comes across as a piece of work.

Hope Athletico win.

I'll stick my neck out and say Madrid will win this one.

Casilas does what is commonly known as 'a Jensen' and Atletico score from the calamity.

In other news, is it me or does this Courtois chap in goal for Atletico bear a passing resemblance to one of the lads who came runner up in Masterchef last week?

This is potentially heartbreaking for Athletico! Great header by Ramos though. Makes this match interesting all of a sudden!

Happy enough with that goal, as I backed a draw at the beginning of the game, and during, but I'd much, much rather Atletico won the final.

I was literally just saying to my girlfriend that Real Madrid were going to grab a goal in the next few minutes. Athletico look tired.

La Decima!
Ironic that Bale got the all important goal, he was poor generally.
Incredible season for athletico.. well harsh on them, apparently a smaller budget than QPR. Mental.

with a thug of a manager.
his fault they lost with his time wasting tactics.

Yes, Bale had three good chances. Athletico have done very well this season but as much as it pains me to say it, they deservedly lost today.

Well done Bale. Really pleased for him. When was the last time a Brit scored a winner in the European Cup? Yes I'm claiming him as a Brit.

Last Brit to score in a CL final Lampard at a guess. The winner though that might be McManaman for Real Madrid?

Lampard scored in the penalty shoot-out two years a go. Rooney scored before that when Utd. Were well beaten by Barca.

Simone seems to be even more hot headed than Poyet and Suarez.

Brazil 2014 will have its fair share of tantrum kick offs for sure. XD

Simeone ( he has previous) needs reining in before every clown of a short- fuse manager thinks he can invade the pitch for a scrap.. great self control, great example
Lengthy ban might calm him.

They mentioned last night that 5 Welshmen have previously played in a European Cup/ Champions League Final..did not hear the answer..
Really not much idea on this though I am thinking that Forest, Villa and Chelsea had none...so going for terry yorath, joey jones, john toshack, mark hughes and ian rush. Not optimistic

They also said that 8 British players had played in such a Final for a non British team...even less idea there but maybe steve archibald, gary lineker, laurie cunningham, kevin keegan..?
OK I give up..
( advance apologies if questions not worded totally correctly)
