Watching the World Cup Final last sunday evening in the pub,we got onto the subject of penalty shoot outs and how many BFC have been involved in.I can remember beating Mansfield Town at Turf Moor in the Anglo Scottish Cup(as another poster mentioned previously).Derek Scott missed his penalty and the Mansfield players started to celebrate until the ref made Derek re-take it due to the keeper moving too soon ;D . He scored at the second time of asking, they missed and we won i think.I can also remember beating Halifax at home and Rotherham away both in the Sherpa van(or whatever it changed to).Wolves and Plymouth at home brought victories in both shoot outs in the cups , and obviously Chelsea.A list of all the shoot-outs would be good CT please .

I remember that Anglo Scottish one I listened to it on Radio Blackburn. After Scott missed I was so mad I angrily turned the radio off and went to bed. Imagine my complete surprise the next day when I found out we'd won (he said in his best Viz voice)

Walsall at home in the FA Cup at the 3rd attempt nearly 18 years ago. I've always maintained it's a poor way to decide a football match.

Was that the one that was originally abandoned when the lights went out and we played Liverpool in next round?
