Rotherham old boy Andy Monkhouse has dropped down into the Conference to sign for Bristol Rovers.

On his day a fantastic player. Good luck on your new adventure Andy

Bristol must still be paying League wages as surely he could have found a more central conference club to play for?

Anyway, top talent in his day, wind down his last few years nicely in a lovely City

Only 33 so must have another year or 2 left at league 2 level you would think.

seems like i've heard bios for years thought he was in his 40's by now...tic

Yes great on his day and recall many a majestic knock of the ball where he strode twice and it took and opposing player 4 strides to even try to catch him up...legs like a gazelle...

His nickname chant caused many a grumble form opposing black players at the time as they thought we were being racist...when you think about it his shortened surname wasn't really a good choice but every player had a shortened version and still do...ask Paul watchamercallit...
