A difficult decade for BFC punctuated by the second World War but the Cup Final appearance in '47 and then promotion was the catalyst for what was soon to become a very special era in the history of our great Club.

No coincidence that two of our most influential players in the late 40's, Alan Brown and Harry Potts, were soon to have a massive role to play as managers in the following decade.

We wait for the next installment with baited breath CT.

Not sure when I'll get the next one done - might be during the first international break.

All good things are worth waiting for. Quite how you will end the next installment is intriguing.

It will be the last decade I write about that I didn't witness. I think it will be a good one to write and the longer I take over it the longer it will be before I eventually reach the 1980s.
