I've just been on that there OwlsTalk and they seem proper excited by playing one of the Premier League big boys.

We should put the Development squad out for this one just to give the Yolksheer minnows half a chance.

bradford v leeds another tv game ;D

you boys have a lot of catching up to do, leeds will be on telly more times than corrie or eastenders this season. ;D

"Leeds on TV more often that Corrie & Eastenders,,,,,"

Now who said TV was dumbing down ?

They always show the smaller, lower division clubs on telly in the early rounds

leeds will be on telly more times than corrie or eastenders this season. :blue:

Nothing new there then , then again you are the biggest club in Europe

Should be a great night for Bradford...

""We should put the Development squad out for this one just to give the Yolksheer minnows half a chance. ""

Hmmm...well what is basically our current first team with the addition of Vokes managed to cling on under siege for a draw at theirs last year, and then drew 1-1 on the turf.

Doesn't really suggest that Heaton will be able to spend the evening in a hammock.

I don't honestly think Heaton would be playing in this.

Though I don't think it would be a good idea to put the development squad out it would be a good idea to give some of the players who may not have much game time some much needed minutes.

We won at their place, fatboy.

But I agree, we'll have to play our first XI to have a fair chance of getting through.

14-08-2014, 07:49 AM
Yep...my bad Notts...and I was there !! :-)

Still...we were hanging on under siege at the end..

14-08-2014, 07:57 AM
Not only that Fatboy, we murdered them at our place, particularly second half, but just couldn't get the winner. I'd say they were hanging on with their fingernails for the point.

14-08-2014, 08:06 AM
We murdered them 1-1. ;D

We didn't do much switching around in the cup last year, and I don't see any reason why we would this year.

Winnable tie

Re Leeds thought I would share this...I was at Gatwick airport this morning. I collected a car from the north terminal...a brand new car (14 plate). I had to tell the driver there was an issue with the back window and I wouldn't be able to drive his car away. I pointed to a huge white, blobby mark but you could clearly read LUFC. I told him that I would be too embarrassed to be seen driving it.
I pointed out that Leeds had changed their, he was quite surprised. No longer "Mighty Leeds!" but now "God all mighty, Leeds".
I was able to tell him that they had drawn a big clash in the cup "City away". Not Man City but arch rivals Bradford. Told him, "reckon there could be a giantkilling" he said, "never". I replied yes I was confident there would be as I thought Leeds may cause an upset! Hope he has a good holiday.
As being a Claret ever felt this good?

Lets hope they dont hold the Miners against us and come wearing boxing gloves...
