Does anyone work on Trafford Park? If so how long does it take in a morning and at night to and from Burnley? I know it can all go to rats if someones been driving like an arse or if the weather is bad but I'm just looking for an average. I've seen a job that I like the look of.

Cheers

Anytime during the day that stretch of the M60 is usually 40 mph at best, volume of traffic. Think they are turning it into a smart motorway. Quite a few major interchanges, one in particular where joining traffic want to go into the outside lanes whereas those in outside want to move over to get on 602 or 62. Plus you'll get stuck at Simister before that!

I worked in Salford Quays from 1991 to 1999 and the traffic situation worsened seriously year by year such that I used to leave home around 6:15, start early and finish early.

I shudder to think what it might be like now.

When we worked on Media City a few years back, we used to come off at The Robin Hood pub turn off and go that way. You can rejoin Salford way or we found a couple of short cuts. It was 35-40 mins in rush hour. But there was a lot of site traffic about.

Give yourself an hour each way.

A nice taster from this morning - It took me an hour to get from Edenfield to Bury on the M66 due to a crash @ 7:45 this morning.

All it takes is one clot who cant drive and rush hour is ****ed.

I work next to the Trafford Centre. It's between 1 hr and 1hr 20 mins in the morning and 45 minutes to an hour in the evening . That's starting between 8 and 9 finishing between 5 and 6.Obviously if anything happens times lengthen a lot.
Worse one ever was 8 1/2 hours in snow. :)

Thank you all for your information. If this job was this side of Manchester I'd have jumped at it. I've had a look at travelling by public transport. From Tod to Trafford Park it takes about 2 hours :O

Travel to Bury/Radcliffe and get the Metro wich is still about 45 min.
Don't go into winter conditions.
I do Burnley to Bury in 30mins then 24 min on tram - M60/62/56 can give you lots of time to listen to your 'I can speak italiano' cd's - i can now speak 14 internatinal languages - amigo!
