The penny has finally dropped for some Pool fans - there's no longer a Blackpool Football Club - just a strip of grass within office buildings where the Oystons allow a bunch of temp workers to play footy and protesters to air their futile opinions.

Oyston clearly won the battle with Riga.

poor blackpool. their fans are going through the mill with all the ongoing problems at bloomers. could happen at any club. we should count ourselves lucky that our club [at least for now] is well run by fans of the club. wouldn't want to gamble with our club's future by being lumbered with a mega-rich foreigner like some clubs have been. rather not gamble our long-term existence for possible short-term glory.

Nile Ranger's controversies section on his wikipedia page really is a sight to behold - view external link (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nile_Ranger#Controversies)

That is unbelievable. Why on earth would they go near him with a bargepole ? They seem to have a deathwish.

The big problem at Blackpool is a local owner. Local owners can be just as great or as crap as foreign ones.

Wasted talent. However, the bigger tragedy is that Blackpool is in danger of becoming a 'leper colony''.

I am surprised they have signed him, I would have thought a loan was a better option, the loan ranger :)

He's going down whether it's relegation or prison.

Been a bit of a bad lad. Wants to make a fresh start. Now where's a quiet little place with no temptation. Ah, I know, ... Blackpool.

Heard they are also trying to land Ravel Morrison and Mario Balotelli.

In May 2014, Ranger was found not guilty of being drunk in charge of his vehicle, after being found asleep in the drivers seat of his car on the M4 motorway
