We have to be more versatile than simply 4-4-2 every game, especially in the away games and against the top clubs.

I would have liked us to have played a 5 man midfield against Chelsea last night and despite us giving it a good go as a 4-4-2, I just feel we would have been more solid had we opted to change the formation.

Anyway, for Swansea I would go with:-

Probably give the same eleven a chance against a team they've a better chance of competing with.

Would though be tempted to bring Kightly in to give us a touch more energy on the counter attack, probably at the expense of Jones with Taylor moving into the middle alongside Marney.

Kightly just offers more energy and works better with Mee from my point of view Purpleclaret

Can see that Nield, but the counter point is that Taylor's left wing deliveries created a goal and two half chances against Chelsea.

442 will not work against any Premier League team away from home. Especially against the like of Swansea who will pass up off the park.

Need a tight triangle of 3 to protect that key area in front of the center halves.

I would not have started Taylor in a 4-4-2 against Chelsea but to be fair I thought he had a good game, especially in the assist for Arfield, so I would keep him in.
