Does anyone know how I can reset my laptop back to factory settings. Want to sell my laptop but want to wipe it clean first. Thank you in advance

Save everything you want to keep to a pen drive or similar.

Do you have your original Windows CD?

If so you can choose to fresh install Windows using that, which re-formats the HDD and essentially starts again.

If you don't have a CD its a little different... But let us know.

Most manufacturers have a factory reset, destructive and non-destructive, that can be accessed via one of the F keys during boot sequence.

Google "Acer laptop factory reset" as an example.

google your model it will tell you if it has a restore partition as suggested above. if you have win7 installed and your code key underneath is still readable you can get the official iso from digital river and reinstall windows - just get your matching version ie. win7 home to match your key.
