View Full Version : Coyle on Burnley

01-09-2014, 03:36 PM
Taken from the BBC:

"Burnley manager Sean Dyche has done a marvellous job at Turf Moor. The problem he will have is that he'll be looking to bring in quality, but maybe won't be able to pay the salaries. They've brought in forward George Boyd from Hull for 3m - that's their eighth signing this summer.

"The price tag probably fits into their budget - they want to look after the club for the long term. The Clarets will be looking for a bit of balance, unlike some Premier League clubs who might be paying over the odds."

He seemed to want us to pay over the odds when he was here and didn't stop moaning that we weren't.

Claptrap from a busted flush of a manager who's career highpoint still remains or '08/'09 season.

01-09-2014, 03:39 PM
There's a good reason he is touring the TV studios.

You've put me off my tea now Fretters.

he also and mentioned he used to be a manager! :)

"James McArthur was with me when I was Wigan manager - he's a terrific player. Everybody craves players with ability. He's a unbelievable man - great lad and a model professional. He lives the right way. He's got bags and bags of energy. Wigan will be delighted with the fee [7m - deal yet to be completed] and Crystal Palace will be delighted with a proven Premier League player."

Who's Coyle?

01-09-2014, 03:44 PM
It's a shame Owen Coyle is without a club this deadline day, as I'm sure he'd love two new faces.

01-09-2014, 03:48 PM
Coyle going on BBC to put himself in the shop window for the Carlisle job...

01-09-2014, 03:48 PM
I see the one hit wonder, still trys to get the limelight on himself.

01-09-2014, 03:53 PM
The BBC make-up ladies ran out of blusher dealing with the many faces of
schizoid Coyle.

01-09-2014, 03:53 PM
I've been telling my Leeds supporting friends what a genuine and loyal guy he is.

01-09-2014, 04:01 PM
he and the Italian owner would be ideal partnership!

neither would tell when the other's lying! ;D

01-09-2014, 04:08 PM
Nothing wrong with what he is saying...

'ducks' XD

01-09-2014, 04:10 PM
I've got as little time for him as the next bloke, but i can see absolutely nothing wrong with his analysis here.

"Coyle going on BBC to put himself in the shop window for the Carlisle job.."

It's on the way to Scotland so he and his career will be heading in the right direction.

He was particularly irritating on Absolute Radio on Saturday. Claiming credit for Burnley having any money to spend at all "I earned it for them with the promotion" and wittering on about how good our start in the premiership had been that season (better than this time round) but then neglected to mention that he buggered off and buggered it up. He was so far up himself I'm surprised he could get his words out.

He has to live on past glories because he has none coming. Wherever he ends up.

01-09-2014, 05:00 PM
The phrase "mind yer own ****ing business" springs to mind.

01-09-2014, 05:06 PM
Unusual for him to come up with a sentence with the word "quality' in it! Oh, wait ... :D

01-09-2014, 05:19 PM
Did anyone get a full house?

01-09-2014, 05:28 PM
His mam's got a full house, he's plenty of time to keep visiting her now.

01-09-2014, 05:35 PM
You'd feel sorry for anyother washed up has been, but it's Subo so it's funny. :D
