View Full Version : The scar on Todd's face - Corrie , left or right cheek?

10-11-2014, 08:37 PM
I can't believe the producer of Corrie made such an obvious mistake. In episode one tonight he had a scar on his left cheek covered by a dressing. In episode 2 when he was checking to see the extent of the damage to his manly beauty, the scar was on the right cheek. Did any one else notice ?

Wouldn't that be the Continuity Director?

10-11-2014, 08:55 PM
Was he using a mirror to check "extent of the damage to his manly beauty"?

10-11-2014, 08:58 PM
yes he was using a mirror, but the view was of him not his reflection.

I can't believe anyone would admit to watching a soap opera in such detail...

What do you expect ...Martin Scorsese?

10-11-2014, 09:28 PM
I suppose you're lucky they got the right person.

10-11-2014, 10:50 PM
I can't be bothered to watch it again on iplayer, but when I saw it I simply assumed it was him looking in a mirror.
They really wouldn't make such a basic error. It is a major make-up project, and if today's episode was was done on more than one day, not only would they have worked form very detailed photos, but the actor himself would have been bound to notice.

They make errors like this on films that cost millions of 's so of course they'll make errors on a TV soap.

10-11-2014, 11:15 PM
I couldn't watch it before 144 adverts invaded me.

11-11-2014, 04:52 AM
Wuld have thought the actor would have noticed if nobody else. I'm sure someone will have it saved on Sky Plus series link to check...

Does anyone still actually watch that sh0ite? How's Ena Sharples and Elsie Tanner doing these days?

Also, did you notice when Peter left the Prison and arrived home with Ken he had obviously had a haircut in between.

11-11-2014, 09:11 AM
A bit of a pointless bit of info: The prison cell where Peter was was actually filmed above Roy's Rolls in a custom made set.

'They really wouldn't make such a basic error.'

They certainly did matey. Even my Mrs spotted it after working an 11 hour shift, it was that obvious.Along with David Platt and the obnoxious Tracey, Todd is the most annoying character on there. I've seen somewhere that they might be bumping him off soon -- can't come quick enough.

Hope the surgeon performing Vokesys op worked on the right knee, or was it left?

"Yes he was using a mirror, but the view was of him not his reflection"

You might want to look at this:

Pretty conclusive evidence from Aunt Sally that it is a reflection, since the writing on the chart is backwards.
I never doubted that it was a reflection. I knew that with such a massive make-up job it would either have been filmed on the same day, or the make-up artist would have been absolutely meticulous in copying the original. In any case the actor would surely not have sat there in make-up for a few hours without questioning it.
What doesn't add up however is the storyline about Tim who can't read or write, but is constantly receiving and sending texts about it!

OMG! Are you lot, really for real? Where's Minnie Caldwell when you need her?

11-11-2014, 04:42 PM
The fact that it was a reflection makes no difference, the scar is still on the right side of his face, whereas it was on the left originally. They do make mistakes !!

It's on his forehead on Wednesday !

11-11-2014, 05:45 PM
Put your left hand on the left side of your face and look in a mirror . You'd be surprised .;)

11-11-2014, 05:50 PM
This is such big news now, it's reached Hollywood and they're making a film about it

Its going to be called The Fault in our Scars.

Aye Thangyou..

Agreed, but it's a double reversal as it's a screen shot

Take a look at people wearing a poppy on the left who are on the TV - miracle of miracles, its on the right as you look at it :D :D :D

"The fact that it was a reflection makes no difference, the scar is still on the right side of his face, whereas it was on the left originally. They do make mistakes !!"
So how do you account for the words on the chart being right to left rather than left to right??

11-11-2014, 06:55 PM
So I was right. It was all done with mirrors then :D

Can anyone shed any light on Disco Dave's 76 finish? - view external link (http://youtu.be/wF6ZdNmBqhw?t=5m6s)

You all should be banned from this board.

"Can anyone shed any light on Disco Dave's 76 finish?"
He did it in 2 darts, so perhaps he was showing off and did double 13 followed by bull?
I'm not a darts play but assume that treble 20, double 8 would be more likely.
However double 13 / bull would be ok wouldn't it?

Sad to confirm that I watched both episodes back last night - and can also confirm the OP is wrong.
