No probs Tony - the quiz is only for fun as you know. People can join in live on the night as and when they feel able. Others I know just print off the initial post and do the quiz in their own time before checking the answers later. :D

Worse than that Beehole - I've been on Tesco.com. All the food in my cupboards is supermarket own brand and I couldn't think of a footballer whose sounded like Asda Smart Price.

Shame I don't shop at Clinton Morrison's

Mr Top Tier completes the serious stuff and 2 points with;
1b Jim Baxter i worked in Nottingham for a while, some drinking tales about that boy.

Yes I believe he had a bit of a reputation and enjoyed the social side of football a bit too much. He was part of the Scotland team that beat World Cup Winners England 3-2 at Wembley. I don’t remember him doing too much at Forest although they were a unfashionable club in the late 60’s. I seem to recall they also had Joe Baker up front who I think also played for Scotland? I had them both in my collection of football cards when I was at junior school.

Never one to accept everything at face value

1970 WC Keeper Gordon BANKS, Banks Beer brewed in Walsall I think

Didn't someone throw some (McDougals) flour over Ted when Burnley drew 4-4 and Peter Noble scored all Burnleys goals?

Great quiz anyway Beehole

02-12-2014, 07:46 AM
Thank you - You can have your fun point for that one Peterrsa :D

Dont know about McDougall and the flour incident but I do remember Douggie Collins pretending he'd been seriously nutted by McDougall who was then subsequently sent off at Upton Park as we beat West Ham on MOTD XD
