View Full Version : Fair result

Just about right result I thought.

Poor goal to concede, but we huffed and ****ed a bit in the second half against quite a decent side without creating too much.

As stated by another poster, another hard earned point & out of the bottom three if results remain the same in the last 2 games this evening.

Newcastle were pretty poor in the first half but made up for that in the second.

Pity Jones's shot went skyward!

Looks like some of my words have been blocked out :O

So that's why Holycustard can't do match reports nowadays :D

QPR, Leicester, Stoke, West Brom, Crystal palace...all lost. A win would have seen us up to 14th but a draw was a fair but slightly disappointing result. Bring on QPR!

I agree, and in my eyes, a point earned, not two points lost.

I would take a point at QPR as well if handed it now. If we can draw against the big clubs, and draw against any club away, and aim for three points in the home '6 pointers' (i.e, Palace, QPR, Leicester, West Brom etc) then you never know.

I think we should aim for three points in every match.

I want to see 3 points from the QPR match. Time to clear the relegation zone.

Quicknick - well, yes, quite.

I knew what you meant, though. ;D

We should of put the game to bed by half time. They had a little spell when they got on top but we need to beat these sides if we are to stop up.

They weren't a patch on Villa's first half performance never mind the decent sides to come here.

Gutted for Ward, he can really get his head up and pick a pass at this level, looked more settled with each game. Hope its nothing serious but it didn't look good.

But we have a young Ben Mee who was outstanding last season, we have to stay positive and keep believing.

On the balance of things that was a decent point against a top half side.

Definitely a fair result overall I'd say. We need to be much tougher in those 50/50 balls though, pull out or too slow to them way too often and its frustrating.

Really hope Ward is okay, but it did not look good at all.

Yep fair result. I wouldn't describe tonight's match as one we should have put to bed by half time.

I was disappointed not to go in at half time two goals to the good. Without the defensive mistake I think we would have shut Newcastle out of the game.
Another good point fairly won
