Any news on what the injury is? Also how long will he be out of action?

Nothing said since Tuesday but there's a press conference today.

Fingers crossed nothing too serious. However the way he went down suggests otherwise.
Don't think its any coincidence Ward's selection has been a factor in our improvement, and he adds more stability and balance at the back. Quality signing by SD.

Looks as though he could be out for a while

Shame, but we have Mee & Laffs

04-12-2014, 01:29 PM
Although Ben had lost his regular slot he's well off pace or is it just Mee

04-12-2014, 04:22 PM
Just tuned in. That's the worst news for a while.

Shame, but Mee won't let us down. Good job we had the three left backs maybe.

I was sceptical when we signed him, but he's been mostly very solid when he's played. You can't argue that we've certainly picked up more points with him in the side.

This is undoubtedly a blow and weakens the defence.

A real shame, he was getting better all the time and no coincidence our good run has come with him in the side. Mee will be okay as a replacement, but Ward has showed he's a better player.

I was surprised Ben was dropped, so have no problem with him coming back in.
Ward has done a great job since he started though, the performance at Stoke will long live in the memory.

Come back soon lad.

The best left back of the lot remained in the stand on Tuesday - Alex Elder

'...remained in the stand...'

he sneaked on the pitch at half-time! :)

hope Ward's ok soon!

"The best left back of the lot remained in the stand on Tuesday - Alex Elder"

Maybe he's still too young ;)

Hopefully Ben steps up. He was very good when he came on against Newcastle. Hope the injury isn't too serious and Ward is back soon. He's been a key part of our upturn in form and his performance against Stoke was up there as one of the best I've seen from a Burnley defender.

Has a hairline fracture. No timescale given as to how long he's out.
