The gulf between the teams, especially in the second half, was cavernous. Bournemouth were light years ahead of us in thinking, strategy and technical ability. They never wasted a ball, always had men on the move, finding space, simple quick passes that bamboozled and wrong-footed both our midfield and defence. Then, if they didn't score, what did we do? Returned the ball via our infamous hoofball tactics and asked them to try again! Brainless!

And as for our 'strikers'. Derbyshire excelled himself with his worst miss of the season, which is a major achievement given his record to date. JCH and Bowery wandered around aimlessly for much of the game displaying no understanding of each other's role or whereabouts on the pitch and offering no goal threat whatsoever. At least two of the three need shipping out permanently and the other needs to go on loan allowing us to rebuild and reshape our attack completely because the existing 'strike force' has no chance whatsoever of keeping us in t

I know this is a negative post but your comments are undeniably correct. Whatever our shortcomings may be the one constant over the years has been the teams' steel and never-say-die attitude. Totally absent today.
The signs were there even in the prematch shuttle in front of the main stand, when the team break away and normally applaud the fans. Today it appeared that the players didnt really want to be there.
Pringle and Green were statues in midfield and Harris and Bowery had no cohesion or understanding.
We take the lead and looked ok until about the 35th minute. Then we sit back and, surprise, surprise we go in 1 a piece.
In the second half total capitulation with management buried by Eddie Howe's well organised side. Everyone knowing their role and wearing the shirt with pride.
