Have you still got the strong winds, if so, will the game be in doubt, Health & Safety etc. Not seen the forecast for later yet but had it been arranged for last night then it's unlikely it would have gone ahead.

Quite breezy this morning beddie but nothing to worry about, match will not be a problem. Due to get much colder this afternoon though.

No reason why it wouldn't have gone ahead last night

"No reason why it wouldn't have gone ahead last night".

Think you will find that off the cuff comment is incorrect.

You certainly wouldn't have played a football match in Manchester this afternoon had the conditions been as they were overnight, but that's Manchester not Burnley.

It might be a game to deviate from our usual policy of attacking the Jimmy Mac in the second half though. The winds are from the West, and are supposed to drop as the afternoon wears on and look to be appreciably lower at 4 pm than 3pm, which means there might well be a clear advantage to kicking towards the Cricket Field End in the second half. First half could be one when goalkicks for the team kicking that way struggle to reach half way.

Weather currently at 12:30
Sunny, cold and windy. Temperatures 7 degrees. Wind makes it feel a lot lower. Wrap up warm chums and don't forget the pre- match Benedictine.

Lets hope it doesn't spoil the game too much, or the result.

Wasn't off the cuff - game would have been played last night. Wind stronger now than it was until late last night.

Just driven up A1/M62 and went through the whole spectrum, wind, rain and snow flurries plus the wind!

The wind is nothing like as strong today as it was when the game was called off for wind. Colne played that day, in the FA Vase semi-final, and the goalkeeper was catching his own goal kicks.

Wind and rain at the match today.

Ideal Burnley Indian Summer weather!

I understand that due to the volume of water on our pitch at 7.45 p.m. last night would have resulted in the game being off.

The Claret and Blue sun has steadily risen today and a few dark clouds have moved south towards London ;)

I thought the players did very today despite horrendous weather conditions. In the first half especially when we were playing directly into the face of strong winds, and actually winning.
