On the topic of transfers, looks like Villa are bringing in a "22 year old Valencia playmaker" for 3.5m. Seems the value is out there, though no idea about the quality of the lad.

Is our "British" policy an actual policy or is it purely a reflection of our up-to-this-point limited scouting coverage?

I'm not so sure it is. He was absolutely abysmal when we played them down there.
