Excellent report Tony but I think you meant to write "seven games without a win". :D

Thanks, same mistake as I made the other day. I've changed it so it should show up in a few minutes when it refreshes.

Tony's report is blacked out on my iPad - a pity I was looking forward to reading it. Possibly tomorrow? :blue:

CleggHall - try your browser settings and see if it allows you to connect the desktop site rather than the mobile one. It's working fine on my phone

Another excellent report on a great day's football. As you say, this is the championship side plus Boyd. What an inspired signing he has been?

Thanks for technical assistance TodClaret

Wasn't at the game yesterday but on MOD it looked to me that Mariner penalised City for a foul on Shacks after Mee had brought down Zabaleta as Shacks then attacked the ball and was floored by a City player who may even have been Zabaleta. That is how I saw it for what it is worth

I was reflecting today during my morning walk at Hardcastle Crags on the smaller details of yesterday and two things came to mind: the unusual occurrence of the ref blowing bang on 45 minutes and the glorious sight of the England goalkeeper tearing across the pitch towards the Bob Lord Stand in the 90th minute desperately trying to get the ball back into play to salvage something from the game.

No point even trying to sum up yesterday better than the closing line in ClaretTony's match report -
"How fantastic it is sometimes to be a Burnley fan. Yesterday was very much one of those fantastic days."

Too right.

Good spot mdd2 - I couldn't see why he'd given us a free kick in the incident but that clears it up. It was on our official site where they claimed he'd carded Zabaleta for simulation but there was nothing to suggest he'd given the free kick for that and he certainly didn't card anyone.

Yes, good spot mdd2, just watched it back and seen it.
