Lack of any continuity has been a major downfall for us this season. Ever since the manager pressed the panic button after the Birmingham home match, we have been chasing shadows, playing catch up.

Every time SE brings in a loan player and displaces one of our own, we are knocked back for a few games until he realises they are not as good as he thought, and then the merry go round starts again, and again and...

Of all the players signed permanent this season only three started yesterday, Smallwood, Derbyshire and Broadfoot and two of our new recruits Wood and Sadler have yet to start a league game this season, incredible, especially as Wood along with Green are our most experienced championship players.

Trouble is when he brings players in on loan they need to have instant impact and apart from Rawson and Hunt, none have been up to it, but they help disrupt the team before Evans eventually "slides" them out of the back door eg Wordsworth ,Taylor and next surely Wilson ?

Agree to some extent but all that matters now are points on the board irrespective of how we get them or who we utilise. In truth, after a promising start to the campaign, the decline to where we are now began in November (some may argue in pre-season). Since then there's been little or no semblance of any plan, no longer term team building, no consistency in team selection. We have a critical game on Monday but who knows what the team will be, what formation will be deployed or what tactics will be adopted. Sorry to say, if we do survive it will be more by luck than judgement.

I don't totally say pick our players. What I would say is out of 7 loan players Wilson, Hammill & Sammon wouldn't even be on the bench not good enough. I agree with having Rowe on the bench in place of Wilson. Hunt is a right back, you can see he's not a winger. Didn't go yesterday, people are saying Broadfoot played ok, if you've got choice of in alph' order Arnie, Broadfoot, Morgan & Rawson Broadfoot would be 4th choice. Mon' team same keeper, defence apart from Rawson for Broadfoot, then Frecks, Arnie, Smallwood, Pringle; Derbyshire, Ward or Bowery. Collin, Rowe, Broadfoot, Green, Milson, Yates on the bench. - view external link (w)
