QPR just confirmed that Chris Ramsey has signed a deal to remain as QPR manager until 2018.

I think that's a good move by QPR. He seems a grounded type of guy and is well thought of within the game.

That's one less promotion chaser to worry about then.

He will be able to spend whatever he wants.

Surprised by this... shows more sense than I associate with QPR. Could be a very good appointment IF he is allowed the time to build the club and team sensibly... which I still doubt.

Agree with dave. That's one team we don't have to worry about.

As reported by Sky Sports News 24/03/15

"QPR's director of football Les Ferdinand believes covert racism is rife in the game and preventing ethnic minorities from getting top jobs in management."

Given the views of Les Ferdinand and the fact that QPR probably have learnt a harsh lesson in bringing in high profile managers and wasting money on big salaries and long contracts it was a no brainer that Ramsey would get the job for next season.

I was going to raise a question about the "racist" thing, and Ferdinand's comments have beaten me to it. Is it being said then that a part of his appointment is positive discrimination, he get's it because he's black?

Or does he get it based on qualification, at which point includes a relegation and nothing else at managerial level
