I am off to the match, so leave you to your own devices, once again. Let's all have a great one.

As it is the last match of the season, Madge is appearing as herself, in her half time pose, but to start the match.

No matter what the outcome (I think we will win today), Naughty Madge will end the thread, when I get back home tonight.

This has been a remarkable season and one of great pride in our team and club as a whole.
Thank you all and the fans who can attend and do and those on here, inputting our thoughts and feelings throughout the match.

Good luck to us all.

Up the Clarets (...again next season)

Villa Legend Peter McParland in the Guardian today calls the 57 Burnley side 'The hardest team in England' and recalls nearly choking on his breakfast when drawing them in the cup, a match of particular importance to me, as my grandad died of a heart attack on the Longside at half time.

Also, Newcastle vote Burnley the best away fans in another article.

If that effort from Ings just now counts as a drop goal then maybe we can stay up.

Rugby is a type of football too.

First yellow to Burnley - Ulvestad.

spadesclaret

No yellow for a nasty foul on Barnes.

Seems as if Barnes has knee ligament damage :blue:

Imploding Turtle
24-05-2015, 02:33 PM
It wasn't particularly nasty as a foul.

Stoke are 3-0 at Chelsea against Liverpool.

Edit: wtf?

spadesclaret

Vokes on.

Don't blame Mike Jones for the foul of course but why didn't he book Delph?

hampsteadclaret

Arsenal are already 4-0 up.

ksrclaret
24-05-2015, 02:40 PM
Really hope it's not serious for Barnes, how bad did it look?

More inept refereeing from Mike Jones, an absolute embarrassment to his profession. How Delph escaped a booking is anyone's guess.

Couldn't tell for sure, ksr, but didn't look good.
He tried to come back on but went down again.

Think he could create havoc for us next season.
Fingers crossed.

Great save by Tom!

I really hope Barnes's injury is not serious. It will a sickener for him if it is. It's a short close season and, as someone else has said, he could wreak havoc in the Championship.

Well that was a great tonic! Excellent team goal and great defending. Heaton star performance.

Here is naughty madge to wind up the season on a high.

Cheers everyone and see you back here for another great season with the Mighty Clarets and madge.
