I wasn't too impressed to be honest durhamclaret :D

I was absolutely fascinated by the story. I knew Eric for donkeys years and could never have imagined him on a bike. But I shouldn't have been surprised, he really was a committed supporter.

Great Story. I also remember Eric very well. He was a really nice guy. Wasnt his son Stephen ?
Cycling to Grimsby in the 40`s...now thats what I call a supporter. Once walked to East Lancs to watch Burnley in the 60`s but cant compete with Erics adventures.
Really nice to be reminded of him. Bet Lotty will be on soon !

I too knew Eric well through football and cricket and he was a really nice bloke who lived for BFC & BCC . Great story and one you'd never have associated with Eric unless you knew him back then .

I was going to mention the England manager story but was beaten too it but didn't it start when Sven accepted the Blackburn job and then changed his mind ?

It did start when he accepted the Blackburn job - and by absolute coincidence, I saw Stephen in town this afternoon.
