Now they've underestimated the cost of running the referendum.

Can we trust any figures they ever come up with ?

So did HM Treasury they were forecasting 95 Dollars a barrel so your point is no one can predict the future.. The teasury hasnt had a single budget forecast correct in the last 30 years. All they do is move the baseline so the final outcome looks as if they got close. The chancellor told us the budget deficit would be cleared by 2015....he was only 82 billion off target. If you are going to make the Scottish Gov out to be inept please dont forget to highlight how systematically incompetent sucessive UK Gov have been for 60 years thats why we have 1.5 trillion national debt

Re Trust,, The fact the SNP destroyed the Unionist parties and the WM elections shows exactly who they trust

Unionists are also keen to avoid pointing out that the Scottish Gov has run s balanced budgrt every year for the last 15 . HM Gov have balanced the books 6 times in 55 years even eith the massive windfall from oil in the 70s and 80s thats real solid incompetence for you.

shhhh lads - that doesn't fit Wlalter's narrative... :s

Quite easy to balance the books with the Barnett lolly pouring in.

The first year of independence would be the first year of deficit.

Really ??? is that why Northern Irelands devolved Government / Assembly has run up a deficit is seeking a bail out from Westminster. Barnet Lolly hasn't sorted it for them.

Thankfully the conservative government in Canada are going to be defeated due to their ineffectiveness in running the country and wasting of oil revenues which are in 3 of the provinces.

They have not had one balanced budget in 10 years even when oil was at its peak.

The socialists of the NDP party are favourites to form the next government, first time ever and were formed by the man who brought health care to Canada ,tommy Douglas from falkirk.

It's actually the republic down south that needed billions of UK loans to bail it out

Im well aware of the republics bail out but we are talking about the uk and the northern ireland assembly has not balanced it budget but dont let facts get in the way of your arguement.
