View Full Version : Finyen is not sectarian according to SFA but Hvn is????

Surely there's some mistake there? Mate alerted me to the link with a question is he really paranoid. I told him he frequently is :-)

As far as I know Hvn is used up and down the country as a term to slag Rangers and their fans. The likes of Hibs and Hearts fans as well as Dons and Tims use it. But apparently the SFA think Hvn is a sectarian term but Finyen is a "badge of honour". Bizarre.

You've got to seriously wonder just what goes on up at Park Gardens. - view external link (http://m.heraldscotland.com/news/13719346.UEFA_raps__reckless__Scottish_FA_over_cla ims_sectarianism_just_part_of_the_national_game)

Alas WL, what happens in the ivory towers of Park Gardens bears no semblance to realities on the ground. The quicker the current lot of suits get a kick in the hawmaws the better afaic

"You've got to seriously wonder just what goes on up at Park Gardens."

Quite a lot of things, but not much to do with football.

THe SFA moved out of there about 15 years ago. :P

I don't have a problem with either term. The original F3nians were a proud group of fighting men. 'H*n' is a non-sectarian term to describe supporters of the defunct Rangers club.

Both words are sectarian.
