Nil apiece at half-time.

I'm pleased I missed a bit to watch the 2 mins on Burnley on Mastermind - it's not been good stuff so far

Boro have completely dominated play but have missed two clear cut chances, with Nugent missing an absolute sitter. QPR are shockingly poor.

They're much better in 2nd half.

Couldn't have been much worse really.

Ground looks empty.

No wonder it's half empty at 32 a ticket!!!

Not seen much to be concerned about on this showing from either team

Promotion winning teams find ways to win games, let's see what happens last 15

They haven't used the international break wisely.

Dycheism number 14

Boro have a knack of squeezing wins out of these situations.

I'd have a punt on them winning this.

By far the best performance in this game has come from the referee.

If there's going to be a Winner its boro, conceded only 2 goals in 9 home games this season

'...Leroy Fer had been dismissed for handling a goalbound overhead kick, a decision prompted by the referee's assistant on the right flank's keen eye...'

how comes the assistants at Turf Moor never intervene? :/

BabylonClaret

Promotion rivals? Not on that performance.

Sme people have said we've been poor and ground out results but frig me boro were awful. QPR were pretty **** themselves and Boro created nothing that second half.

Blackwells should string Fer up by his *******s cos Green had that shot covered.

Petrasso on for last gasp effort

full-time 1 - 0

They score a lot in the dying minutes too.

Both sides were dogger though

Thought Middlesbrough were very poor tonight. Very fortunate three points.

thedonz
20-11-2015, 09:49 PM
They are big promotion rivals and 3 points is 3 points no matter how you play.

Good win on Sunday more important than this game tonight

BabylonClaret
20-11-2015, 09:51 PM
Yeah I get the three points is three points but they looked average despite QPR clearly being unable to a) pass a ball crisply on the deck b) trap anything c) carry anything remotely like a goal threat

Bin_Ont_Turf
20-11-2015, 09:52 PM
Nowt to worry about.

The table is just missing our three points from Sunday's game, that's all.

As I said with 15 mins to go , promotion winning teams know how to win tight games, forget about their poor performance .

'As I said with 15 mins to go , promotion winning teams know how to win tight games, forget about their poor performance'

They aren't a promotion winning team, so folk will look at the performance.

What's your point?

ecc

What a difference between QPR Version 2015 and Version 2013. Two years ago they were, inevitably, the bookies' favourites (and the media's). A squad bigger than the rest of the league put together. It was them and A.N.Other for the automatic places. Nailed on.

This year after slightly a third of the season they're 14 points behind second-place Brighton. They could still finish second but it will be a tough task.

Pity as they're such a pleasant club.

I know you stay up late BOT but some of us have to get to bed.

So far I've got that you don't think 'boro will go up , what else have you up your sleeve?

That's a nice memory you have but it was actually Leicester and Us who got promoted. QPR scraped through in the play off with 10 men against Poxy Derby.

I haven't said anything of the sort.

Boro aren't a 'promotion winning team' (neither are the 23 other clubs), so we can't 'forget about their performance' because that's all we have to go on, and that's my obvious point to post 26..

Thanks.

Why I waited I don't know.

Anyway , let me enlighten you.

If people did not think ' boro were a promotion rival they would not be bothered about their performance.

Your response is well below par for you. I normally find you quite a funny and perceptive poster. Why you have chosen to be a touch pedantic tonight only you know

You might get away with it tonight Rowls as Hampstead may be out.

When are QPR going to wake up to the fact that you need some energy in midfield ?

They don't close down well enough to get the ball back. Teams who get in their face will always cause them problems. Give them room and they have technicians in midfield to hammer their opponents.

No recognised centre forward when Charlie's missing will also cost them.

I don't know whether that was an attempt at "humour" or not. I refuse to enter into "conversation" with you on anything other than Burnley, Rowls, as your head is so far up your own back passage. But don't start taking the pi$$ out of me.
