..we continue to play as if he's still on the field.

To be honest, Sam's not been winning many of those punts for the last month or so, but God only knows why we continued to knock the same ones in for Grey and Hennings.

Our ball retention is poor for a top end side.

I believe if you give the opposition enough of the ball they will punish you, whether it be from a set play ( MK Dons ) wonder strike ( Leeds & Forest ) A break away counter attack ( Hudds & Today )

If you have the ball the opposition cant score, the fact we give it away cheaply on a regular basis invites pressure onto ourselves.
We always play this way mind and no matter what personnel we have, the opposition have or the tactics they use, we only ever concentrate on what we do in a game.

Its really unfortunate that Barnes got such a bad injury on the last, meaningless game of last season. A Barnes and Gray combination would have been a real handful and would have suited the system well.
However I do wonder that if Barnes had not received the injury, would we have splashed the cash on Gray?
We already had Vokes, Juke, Long, Vossen and Henning,
