For those that have been to Cardiff away before where is the best place to try and park?

From their website - If you are travelling by car please be aware there are no parking spaces available at the Stadium unless you have a permit. We would therefore recommend parking at either the Gol centre (CF11 8BR) or Fitzalan School (FC11 8XB) which are both both located down Lawrenny Avenue and cost 5 for parking. This is then a 5 minute walk to the stadium.

I live in Cardiff (Radyr).

If you are unfamiliar with the City my suggestion is to exit at J32 of the M4.This brings you on to Coryton roundabout.Take road to Merthyr but after a very short distance take first exit to Taffs Well.

Park at train station (free) and take very regular service to Grangetown station.10 minute walk from Grangetown to ground.

On return when you pick up your car you are 2 mins drive off the M4.

Just found out that they have dedicated car parking for away fans at the stadium at a cost of 8. The recommended route in is from Jnc 33 of the M4.

"Just found out that they have dedicated car parking for away fans at the stadium at a cost of 8."

That's always been there - it's right outside the away turnstiles.

They do recommend jnc 33 because it brings you in without going through the city.

I've just spoken to the SLO at Cardiff and he said the car park is open from mid-morning and is at gate 12 by the away fans turnstiles. He's confirmed that the cost is 8.

If coming in via junction 33, the preferred route for away fans is as per map below.

You want to pay 8 and go via J33 up to you but I have given you the route that locals would take.Be away quicker as well.

8 is ridiculous for 2 hours parking! Its always been 5 previously. AND they make you wait in a queue after the game until they see fit to let you go.

You could park at Ikea and walk (30 mins).or get there really early and park on nearby streets.

Thanks barrie, I would like to try the railway station. If you see this you couldn't provide the of the station so that I can find it on my sat nav. :) I'm guessing it is called Taff's Well.

We'll be parking as close as possible tomorrow - otherwise we'll be drenched given the forecast.

Will you be going by Coach or Car CT? if by car how much each will you be paying out for parking if it's not a to personal question?

I always preferred the old ground.

Loads of free parking but you never knew how much of your car would be there when you got back.

I paid the 8 and stayed dry. A positive outcome with a 3 hour drive home methinks.
