View Full Version : Demarai Gray

09-12-2015, 03:31 PM
According to the daily mirror (I know, I know), Andre's bro ;) has a 3.75m exit clause in his contract and is prepared to trigger it in January if City's downward slide continues.
Could he be that creative spark some think we need?

09-12-2015, 03:33 PM
Bournemouth had a 7 million offer for him turned down in January last year - if he leaves Birmingham it will be to the Premier League

09-12-2015, 03:37 PM
Sorry DiBranchio we have had it I am afraid see link below - view external link (http://metro.co.uk/2015/12/09/liverpool-agree-first-option-deal-for-demarai-gray-transfer-report-5553894/)

I did not know they are brothers! Learn something new everyday!

09-12-2015, 04:24 PM
Been linked with George Evans at City, although Brentford are favourites with him being at Walsall when Dean Smith was there.

09-12-2015, 04:25 PM
Now, now longside4evr. I know I quoted the daily mirror, but THE METRO might just be pushing it a bit.

09-12-2015, 04:28 PM
They aren't brothers.

09-12-2015, 04:31 PM
We're all Bro's Claret13552. Innit?

09-12-2015, 04:33 PM
Certainly the type of player we need to be signing in January.

09-12-2015, 04:36 PM
Andrei has a half brother called cody

09-12-2015, 04:54 PM
I'd rather we looked at someone of the ilk of Callum McManaman in January, to be honest.

09-12-2015, 04:58 PM
Stephen Naismith appears to be available.

09-12-2015, 05:05 PM
Naismith will surely go to a low end Premier League club, like Norwich or West Brom (West Brom may be a particularly plausible shout).

It might be the player who he makes surplus to requirements that we can try for.

09-12-2015, 05:43 PM
Are we that far ahead of Birmingham in the promotion stakes, that one of their top players would jump ship for us ??

09-12-2015, 06:43 PM
If the offer is good enough, would that matter?
Lansbury was set to sign in the summer from all accounts, when all things were equal and Forest were the bigger club allegedly.
It would be in the realms of probability that our promotion prospects are better than those of Brum. After all, last weeks defeat was our first in 10 and not the end of the world as some would have you believe

09-12-2015, 06:44 PM
We'd have no chance of signing him.

09-12-2015, 07:24 PM
I would think Gray would move to a Premier League club should he leave.

However, it's PAINFULLY clear that we badly need pace and creativity in our starting eleven. And not just one incoming flair player either - we need a minimum of two players in this mould.

09-12-2015, 07:28 PM
Should've stayed at home yesterday

09-12-2015, 08:52 PM
That was their sister, Stevie.

There comes a day when you are just so out of tune with the contemporary that one must consider oneself "old". That day arrived for me yesterday bro. Innit?

10-12-2015, 11:12 AM
What's Andrew Driver and Derek Riordan up to nowadays?

10-12-2015, 11:50 AM
Flair, pace and skill you say?
Well thats a no go then.

Stephen Gleeson maybe a better shout, he has more appropriate attributes
workman like, no frills and steady eddie

10-12-2015, 01:14 PM
'Flair, pace and skill you say?
Well thats a no go then.'

Why would that be? Andre Gray has those attributes in abundance. The issue isn't that Dyche doesn't like good players with flair, pace and skill, the issue is that they tend to cost 6m+.

10-12-2015, 01:25 PM
I wouldn't say he has ALL those in abundance tbh, but i semi get your point.

Lets not make up silly things like players costing 6 million plus if they have a flair, pace and skill.
Let me know how much did arguably the best 2 premier league players ( at the moment ) cost combined?

10-12-2015, 01:29 PM
Lets not make up silly things ?

What like you seem to be doing almost everytime ?

10-12-2015, 02:01 PM
M4CCA seems to be on mission. His initial reply to the OP on the Boro tickets thread was bizarre to say the least.

10-12-2015, 02:06 PM
How bizarre.
Now for a bonus point, who sang it?

10-12-2015, 02:45 PM
Let me know how much did arguably the best 2 premier league players ( at the moment ) cost combined?

About 80million.

10-12-2015, 02:58 PM
Close... just 78 million out
Obviously its all about opinions but i was making the point not all players cost multi million pounds.
you can reach the top with players who dont cost silly money.

kind of like how we got premoted from our last championship campaign.

10-12-2015, 03:07 PM
So who are the best 2 Premier League players who only cost 2 million?

10-12-2015, 03:10 PM
Did you read all the post this time as your missing out some key words?

But they are Vardy and Mahrez just incase you have been asleep since August ;-)

10-12-2015, 03:35 PM
Personally I went with Sergio Aguero and Mezut Ozil (although I was tempted by David De Gea which would drop that down from 80m to 60m).

10-12-2015, 03:52 PM
Never mind.

10-12-2015, 04:01 PM
Mmmm! Cheeky little sideswipe there M4CCA.
If I needed any convincing that you are full of your own importance and talk *******s, post 31 clinched it.

10-12-2015, 04:19 PM
Fair play, but IMO ( as well as several pundits and professionals within the game ) believe that they are the best 2 players at the moment.

Or was it the fact that I referenced that you must of been asleep not to notice this?
Or is it because once AGAIN you try and pull apart bits of my post to make a point but regularly miss out key words and I have to point them out to you?

I cant fathom which part I was "talking *******s"

10-12-2015, 06:19 PM
"But they are Vardy and Mahrez just incase you have been asleep since August"

I thought he meant Vardy and Stanislas

10-12-2015, 07:05 PM
I know a Blues fan who says he's overrated and can't see him living up to the hype.

That said, as they don't have the proverbial pot to urinate in, they'll have to sell him in Jan or next summer.

11-12-2015, 12:08 PM
I thought he had a much older brother called Shadesof. Might be an uncle though, on reflection, as I think he is about 50.
