I did not.

Just before 10pm RAF Typhoon jets scrambled to find the unresponsive air France passenger plane.

Managed to get in contact and plane landed safely in Newcastle

Good to know our security is first class

Yes but had it been a hijacked plane ie like 9/11 what would they have done then?

I often hear them here in North Lincs but one came over about 10 days ago ........... Jesus Christ! What a feckin' awesome noise. I just cannot imagine how terrifying these warplanes are when they are actually coming at you in an offensive situation. Hell's Bells! :O Glad they're ours!

Yes but had it been a hijacked plane ie like 9/11 what would they have done then?

Ordered the pilot to land at an RAF base and if he refused, shoot it down somewhere over the countryside. The passengers would be going to die anyway so the priority would be to avoid mass casualties on the ground.

Failing that the order would have gone out to shoot it down over Port Talbot

Yes that's the theory but in practice I doubt that they would do it.
