View Full Version : ROUWEN HENNINGS

I was really pleased when we signed this guy, although a German 2nd Division player I felt he was the right fit, he has not had the chance to show us what he has though with only fleeting appearances as subs with being behind Gray and Vokes and now it seems Barnes.

I still think Hennings has something to offer us, anyone else think he'll get a chance in the Prem with us or is there maybe another forward coming in knocking him into a 5th choice striker ?

Unfortunately I can't see where he's going to fit in for next season unless we have injuries.

I've said before that Hennings is our best 'footballer' in the forward department. He just doesn't fit into our system at present.

You would hope that we will be adding at least one forward in the summer.

I understand fans wanting a new exciting forward coming in but I think Gray can be that next season. Vokes is class and Barnes was very good the last time.

Purely because I'm hoping most of our budget goes on 2 quality midfield players who can play centrally and wide , I would be happy if Hennings played a role in the squad.

I thought when he first came he struggled with the style of the Championship but once he adapted and became physically more leaner in his upper body he looked a threat. He can find the back of the net.

A useful squad player for the cup tourneys. Keep him on I say.

I still think SD might revert to playing Ashley Barnes up top on the left hand flank like he did in our last Premier League campaign.

Gray, Vokes and Barnes would be a handful. Hennings and the Juke with Chris Long in reserve. Do we need anyone else?

Juke and long not PL standard imo and should be moved on- SD will stick with his 4-4-2 and introduce Barnes as the 3rd striker - Hennings should hang in there, his chance should come but we could do with another

Hennings is in the right pecking order for Burnley at this time.

He would need to make a big improvement to raise his case.

Cannot see anyone getting in front of Vokes and Gray until possible injuries or suspensions kick in.
Hennings looks to be a long way away from being a Premier League in my opinion.
It will be interesting to see whether SD sticks with a rejuvenated Juke or not?
