If the grunters lose on penalties having spent all the babbys Skeggy money on being massive at Wembley...

28-05-2016, 03:01 AM
And there will be a lot doing exactly that...skeggy and chapel are always chock full of dee dahs...when ive been before ive been wednesday'd to death if ive met one or two in the pubs..still, no sour grapes on my part..let them have their day..lots of lolly if they do it...be interesting to see how massive they are paying premier league prices next year..

I hope they have a great day out to be honest.

If they do go up they'll struggle like we will in this division. The expectations from their fans will be to spend big money on bigs.

Going to be interesting.

How dare you Els Moliners! I spent t' babby's Skeggy money at Easter. Lol. Excellent native Rotherham wit. But you're absolutely right about egregious spending on being promoted. Especially with the way Carvalhal wants to play. If you want to knock it around like Arsenal at that level, then you've got to have Arsenal's players. It's better to get everybody behind the ball. By the way, any news on Gray?

Good luck to the Owls I say - at least if they make it I'll be able to watch them on broadcast TV here. Today not so as they are only on a paid subscription channel and if I even had the $$ I'd be watching a Mexican/Spanish commentary.

Will you still be able to pick it up after Trump's wall goes up?

28-05-2016, 03:07 PM
Good luck to both Sheffield Wednesday and Barnsley.

Watching on Bein Sports, Hull all over them. Come on you Tigers

1-0 - 'Ull!

28-05-2016, 05:57 PM
Overall the best team won.

Ambitious but not brilliant.

28-05-2016, 06:15 PM
Great support for Wednesday today. Didn't lift the team though. Second best by a mile.

28-05-2016, 06:16 PM
A Yorkshire mile

28-05-2016, 06:19 PM
Their team was poor on the day but credit to the supporters.

28-05-2016, 06:24 PM
Just heard on praise or grumble ( or not )

It's a massive grumble from me a massive team like Wednesday shouldn't be losing to a small club like Hull City for Christ sake
I blame the manager we should get rid straight away tonight let him go to Toytown or somewhere what we need now is a massive manager like them new ones at those smaller clubs in Manchester
Also the referee and his assistants the commentators the guys on the panel the newspaper people and especially the guys on the radio were all against us today
At least proper supporters like myself will be able to get tickets for the games next year in the lower league
No I didnít go today but I was listening on Radio Sheffield
Oh and at least it means a certain away win for Rotherham United ;D :D

Hull were certainly the best team today in my humble opinion unlucky owls :)

Can someone with medical knowledge explain how Hull's win impacts on other Championship teams in terms of Parachute payments?

28-05-2016, 06:34 PM
Well Sheffield Wednesday have got a concrete one.

28-05-2016, 06:36 PM
And Man City got a German one

Can someone with medical knowledge explain how Hull's win impacts on other Championship teams in terms of Parachute payments?

Only thing I can think of is they changed the payments for teams being relegated after only one year in the Prem ie Norwich this time

Does it affect them now Hull have gone straight back up ??

Just a thought

Whatever the rule is we will get nowt.

Im not getting into all the 'we're a bigger club and should be beating the likes of Hull' etc.
I genuinely thought the Fowls would turn up and win that today, but they were very disappointing. Are Hull that great though, I think this is a massive opportunity missed by the Fowls. :s

Well that was fun

28-05-2016, 07:48 PM
I wonder if Hull did the mauled by the tigers chant and the clawing action. That was hilarious at the KC.

28-05-2016, 07:58 PM
Disappointed, but the best team won. I always thought that if Hull played well, they'd win. It's parachute money which is the clincher, and the PL is becoming a closed shop. If Wednesday want promotion then they'll have to do as 'Boro did. Spend like a parachute club, although they're not one.

Yes there are always strings attached
