A couple of surprises there for me Casper, especially Graham Branch, I'd totally agree with Doug Collins a player who was not given enough recognition IMO, I see he was so good you named him twice.

Where's the photo's ? Don't give me more work in having to put em up mesell.

I agree, Brian O'Neil. He was a hard nosed barsteward, he wouldn't ever last a whole game today.

Jimmy Mac as a close #2, a magician, quality all the way.

So many it's almost impossible to answer.

Coates - I cried with my brother when he went to Mexico but didn't make the final 22.

McMinn - only Burnley player to make me laugh when he played. In my opinion won the play off final for us against Stockport.

James - mesmerising going down that left wing.

Overson- biggest roar I experienced from a Burnley crowd outside scoring a goal. Knocked over the hard man of non league football King at the Turf when only a teenager.

Pearce - great relationship with the crowd. Better than any other player I remember.

I think the Branchy thing came about because he was always getting slagged off both on the games and also on the messageboards.
I wouldn't go as far as to put him up in the legend bracket but I loved the guys tenacity and willingness to give his best in the face of constant criticism.

Sorry Alto, I too loved Brian O'Neil. The boy was a one off. Jimmy Mac was, in most fans view the best ever Claret and he may well have been and I was lucky enough to have seen him play for us.. A true genius.

However, my favourite was a player who only played some 78 times for us but, when he played, he was spell-binding and went from the Clarets to much better things (not alone there then!!) and the boy was........Trevor Steven.

Don't think anyone has mentioned Skippy, Stevie Kindon, the runaway wardrobe. The goal against Celtic still lives with me as one of the best. Parallels may be drawn one day with Andre Gray, strength, running power, pace :P UTC

Donz beat me to McMinn.

I would say Mike Conroy lit the 4th Div in my first season, and Graham Lancs was a short lived hot prospect.

Deary, although would love to say Joe Jacub!

If I could go back in time I'd love to see Jimmy Mac again, he was a joy to watch. Charlie Cooke was a bit similar in the 70s but there's been no one like him since and never will be now. Martin Dobson was sheer class, but two of my favourites were players I probably saw more of in the reserves than the first team, David Walker and Colin Blant, two of the 'if it moves kick it' school of football, they don't make them like that anymore.
