I'm going for a 2-0 win to Charlton.

Yep I can see that. Think that will be our final appointment Brin assuming we get there. Would prefer Shrews but there ya go...

Yes just a small matter of a two legger to deal with. Fingers crossed the players don't go in with a 'We've beat these twice' attitude.

1-0 Charlton will do me

Personal preference would be Shrews. Charlton will bring double the amount of fans we will and will hammer us at Wembley.

A draw would be a very good result for Shrewsbury or even just a 1 goal deficit

Would prefer Charlton purely for the fact they will have twice as may fans as Shrewsbury, cant think of owt worse than been in a 30000 crowd at Wembley.

We're not in the final yet.

We've just got a semi on.

Remember our first foray into the promotion playoffs against Orient in 1999? We beat them twice in the season including a 4-1 win at their place. Then in the playoff games we couldn't be separated, 0-0 and 0-0, it ended in tears when we lost the penalty shootout. That hurt.
We wanted them in the playoffs that year because we'd beat them twice. Let's hope history doesn't repeat itself 😓

I'm not bothered who we play as long as 5 of them are sent off in the second leg and the rest are injured.

Anyone watching it? Wife is putting the kids in bed so thought I'd get an hour of peace and quiet on my own with a cold un B)

Charlton had a few decent chances so far

Edit: Charltons attendance looks particularly poor. Their stadium doesn't even look half full? Shrewsbury end hasn't sold out either but hardly surprising long trip on a Thursday night. Doubt we'd sell it out on a Sat afternoon

I fancy the Shrews over two legs but I'm usually crap at predicting although my fortunes have changed recently.

I'd say over 2 legs Shrews too. If they can keep Charlton for a draw or even just 1 goal in it I think they'll sort it out at their ground.

I enjoy watching it more when we're not in it, just watching this game makes me feel nervous

I'm worried we're going into the Scunny game expecting to win and we might get a big shock

Watching it with no volume but seems a cracking game so far, big pitch (another reason why donít really want Charlton at Wembley) but weakness for the teams seems to be control in centre mid - weíre strong there so Iím staying positive!

Play-off games almost always very tight.

Not usually games for the neutral.

The Shrews have just scored - 10 mins left
Charlton have only had two shots on target so far

Not surprise by the 1 goal but I had Charlton down to win this game

The good lady does not follow football, she hates it, albeit she told me earlier Shrewsbury would win tonight but we beat them in the final 2-1......I'm not going to argue with her!

Well done to the Shrews, but this tie isn't over yet and they've still got a job to do in their home leg.

Speaking of loving or hating these promotion Play offs, what do we all think about the National league's (what is effectively the 5th Division) change of format to them this season.
