It was nice of the PL/FL to take a break this week (except for the lowly teams like Barnsley of course ;D) to showcase the NFL coming to London.

Anyone on here have any interest in Seattle Seahawks v Oakland Raiders on Sunday? I believe the game was originally supposed to be played at the new White Hart Lane but had to be moved to Wembley. Not sure how many Raiders fans heading over from CTMilller's part of the US but I hear 5,000 Seahawks have made the trip from here in Seattle along with all our local TV pundits enjoying a freebie over to 'Good Ol' England' (so much so they have arrived over there 2 days before the team)

I know there used to be one or two on here who followed NFL, anyone left on MM?

Iím a big fan of NFL Cam. Watched every televised live game this season including the pre-season games. Thatís about 6 games a week, 10 if you count the college games on Saturday nights.

Donít support either Seahawks or Raiders but hoping for a Seahawks victory because the Raiders are in the same division as my team the Denver Broncos.

Just spoke with my daughter over there, she's a big Seahawks fan and excited to see it's on BBC2 as she can't get down to Wembley. I was in the UK when Seattle played Denver in the season opener so probably missed a chance to watch it? Didn't miss much though as I understand the Seahawks were 'pants'. Much improved now despite a couple of big season ending injuries (par for the course in NFL) and they should beat the Raiders - but it's a funny old game! (where have I heard that before?)

Impressive the numbers making the 10,000 mile round trip, although much easier when you make a week/vacation out of it.

The Seattle/Denver match wasnít live here, so I had to make do with highlights on Twitter.

From what I read and the bit I saw Seattle were very unlucky and missed a crucial field goal.

Thereís talk of the UK getting a franchise someday but I donít know where the support would come from. Everyone here who follows the sport already support a team and no one Iíve spoken too have said theyíll change allegiances.

Must be something in the water there. We used to have Barnsley_Miller on here who was an NFL follower but haven't seen him around for a few years.

People afraid to leave Oakland because they know everything will be gone when they get back, including the team as it's on it's way to Vegas XD

I heard thath the FA are voting soon on whether or not to sell the stadium.

If it goes to the guy at Fulham will he move Fulham to there and make his money back on Craven Cottage?

I'll probably watch this one or a part of it as it's on longer than the FA Cup final used to be!

Plenty of time to make a brew in between the 27 referees throwing their flags ont floor.

I'm a fan of NFL (even bigger fan of Major League Baseball) and went to Wembley a couple of years ago when the Redskins came over. It was a great experience and will do it again one day. Went to the pre-season Jets-Giants game in New York in August. Another great experience but would love to go over for a competitive game.

I'm the same with MLB although as an A's fan my interest in this post season has ended. I suppose I hope the Astros win it all again.

Anyone thinking of watching Sunday's game should look up Seattle's Griffin twins if they want an inspirational read.

As a White Sox fan I can't remember what post season means

Have followed the Seahawks since 1984 and have been down to watch a game the last 6 years. Chance at last to see my team and we couldn't get tickets. Still going down for the weekend though, its tradition.

Have a great weekend BM looks like there's quite a party going on. The team are staying in Watford according to reporters here but I'm assuming they are at Lillishall (sp?)

To be honest i don't really enjoy it, same with baseball, both seem really long winded, but each to their own and all that!

Had a good season the A's CA given the budget , Billy Beane seems to have rediscovered his analytics data having lost it for a number of years .

I donít get it either. They have one play and then the pitch is invaded by 250 people. Itís a bit early for a tea break.

Donít like Baseball either - seems like rounders. Been to Ice Hockey once but once bothered about that. You watch the action at one end and suddenly the puck is at the other end followed by a mass brawl.
In Basketball you have to be 8ft 3 to be any good.
As you say each to is own. Itís football and rugby (both codes) all the way for me.

Cheers CAM, we always have a great weekend. Saturday on the real ale starting near Euston station and ending up somewhere by that big river, (Thames I think) gets the weekend off to a good start!!!

Im a big Nfl fan Cam, I have been since Ch4 started showing it here in the UK back in about 1983!!.
Who are my team you might ask... well its America's team of course, the one and only DALLAS COWBOYS. :)
We couldn't even win the Texan derby last week away at lowly Houston. My/our rivals are the likes of Philadelphia, Washington, and N.Y Giants, its an Nfc East thing of course lol. And why are we/Dallas in an eastern division, when they are based down in the south ?!!.

Also, whats this ridiculous fascination with Jacksonville over here, they insist on giving them a game at Wembley every single year, do they actually have any fans over here ?.

Heard it's the Jacksonville owner who's trying to buy Wembley and move the team there so maybe trying to build up a fan base?

Itís Shahid Khan he also owns Fulham. Like I said in an earlier post I donít know where the fans would come from because everyone who follows the sport here will already have a team.

That said theyíll probably sell out for the first season until the newness wears off

Yes exactly Loyal, 'until the newness wears off'.
Who the heck are Jacksonville anyway, surely none of us fans in the UK know or even give a toss about them.
Im surprised and disappointed as well actually, that my team Dallas have only come over to Wembley once so far. Jerry Jones has more money than sense, it would be nice if he could send a few quid to Barnsley Fc course. ;D

Funnily enough my son-in-law is a Jax fan, wears the shirt and everything but I donít know any others.

They'd certainly have to have deep pockets to do a 'Zippy' and get to every game home and away.

Is that right Loyal ? lol.
We/Dallas play the Jags at home this weekend, and funnily enough our only Wembley Nfl game was a win against the Jags.
Apart from Dak Prescott & Zeke Elliott, we don't seem to have the quality players anymore, gone are the days when we could claim to be 'Americas team'. :(

Thatís the way it goes in American football.
They have the drafting system and the fixture system, where teams who finished with a good record last season will play, apart from the 6 divisional games, teams with a not so good record this season. So itís always going to be peaks and troughs.
Prime example is Cleveland, who havenít won in almost 2 seasons but are 2-2-1 so far this season and if they had a reliable kicker should be 5 and 0!

Aww the poor old Cleveland team eh, and what a terrible name to give to a team eh, the 'Browns'. :O
I don't know the full SP when it comes to the draft system, but I do know that New England are going to win the whole shabbang again, this season. ;D

Well the game wasn't much of a competition after the Seahawks imposed themselves with that first drive and at the time of going to press the Dallas v Jacksonville game is going the same way. Hope it was a good weekend BM in what looked like cold/damp conditions. Not sure the Wembley playing surface is going to hold up for 3 consecutive NFL weekends if the rain continues.

Well they've won the NFC East again this season, which is the only reason why they are in the play offs.
