Looks like we have our first Jan signing.

15 goals in 28 games this season, stands at 6ft 8.

At 6ft 8in he won't have to jump for the crosses we send in.

If he is granted a work permit then I wish him every success in keeping 'sicknote' out of the side.

Does anyone know what the rules are regarding work permits.

If a player is coming in on loan rather than a permament deal is there more room for movement or still the same criteria to be met?

I know this is going to sound cynical.. but.. you do realize what will happen right??

Traore will come in.. sit on the bench while we watch Carrol & Nolan miss sitters week in week out as we plunge into certain relegation.. prob get a run out in the cup games for 15min if we progress and that will be it.. its how we do things.. its why we have never progressed!

He looks about 100 times better than Carrol anyway.. Im hoping we play both of them up top in a 4-4-2 and just mess teams up.. its the only way were gonna get out of this mess!

Can imagine him asking his agent
"You're sure its West Brom, boss?, I don't want to go to the Hammers."

Lets hope he turns out to be our new triple sized Tevez.

Could be wrong but I think the rule about work permits is something the F A introduced and nothing to do with European employment law.

If he wasn't a footballer and holds a passport for an EU country he would be allowed here to work. So if he holds a French passport he'd be OK.
