Rosler has confirmed that he is NOT looking to spend in this window. His concentration is going to be on finding some loan signings to fill the gaps that he has found. Although there is money to spend Rosler does not feel he knows enough about the squad yet to warrant permanent signings.

Although a little disappointing it is good to see that he has come out and said this early and that he's not just leaping in. To be honest if we can get one or two strikers in I think we should be set until the end of the season and should make a good push for the play-offs. MAF looks like he's finally getting going up front too, just a shame about Donkey Holt.

Leeds and Wigan are ready to rival Celtic for Wolves striker Leigh Griffiths, Sky sources understand. Wigan and Leeds are in the market for a new striker this month and Griffiths is thought to figure highly on their wanted list. Celtic have held a long-term interest in Griffiths with Neil Lennon thought to be an admirer of the former Hibernian man. Griffiths impressed on loan at Hibs last season picking up SFWA Footballer of the Year, SPL Player of the Year and SPFA Young Player of the Year last term and breaking into Gordon Strachan's plans in the Scotland set-up. Uwe Rosler has admitted that Wigan are looking to wrap up their January business as soon as possible. The Latics boss has already added Nicky Maynard and Tyias Browning to the side in his first transfer window with the club, while Grant Holt has joined Aston Villa on loan. Rosler has not finished his shopping yet, though.

The 20-year-old becomes Uwe Rosler’s third signing after Tyias Browning and Nicky Maynard, and is eligible to play in this weekend’s FA Cup fourth round clash against Crystal Palace at the DW Stadium.

Rosler said: “This is a big scoop or us. There’s no doubt Josh is a huge young talent, and we have worked really hard to convince him and Chelsea this is the right place for him to be for the rest of the season.

The 29-year-old had been reported to be a target for Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest, but he now looks set for a switch to South Wales.

Ramis joined the Latics from La Liga side Mallorca in 2012, although injuries have limited the Spaniard to just seven Championship appearances so far this season.

The defender is midway through a three-year contract at the DW Stadium which is set to expire in 2015.
