FFS please don't tell me this is true?? the Daily Snail are saying that Cole's contract has already expired and he's not available to play against Newcastle.

If so, yet another embarrassing mess from Pinky, Perky and Allardyce???? - view external link (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2538604/Sam-Allardyce-facing-striker-crisis-Carlton-Coles-short-term-West-Ham-de)

Under the circumstances, if this is true, assuming he wants to stay a bit longer, then its a frikkin disgrace

The football side of the club is a shambles, we need a director of football or at least someone on the board who can oversee the squad because the decision making is ridiculous.

The 30-year-old has four goals in Premier League 11 games this season, many as a substitute, and holds the third-best strike-rate-per-minute of any player in the division.?

Wow, never thought I'd live to see the day ...B)

Not a problem if he re signs, as opposed to resigns. ;D

But, as you say, something of an embarrassing situation. Still at least we didn't overlook it and find ourselves facing another Omoyinmi situation.

He has 18 months.

Ah some good news :)

Well... what with the impending returns of Carroll, Reid and Collins (and of course Tomkins after he serves his ban) and hopefully the signing of another striker... I'll allow myself the unusual luxury of feeling a light tinge of mid-week optimism :)

Personally I am pleased for him.
Generally you cant fault his effort.

Ok not the best, but then neither are we.

At least hes getting us some important goals at the minute.

Very pleased for Carlton.

Hope his recent good form continues on to saturday. Would be great to see him bang in a stopage time winner against Newcastle.

Cant remember the last time West Ham actually won a game with a injury time goal.

Well oh dear, bless him. If we believe, as the Telegraph reported, that he being paid £40K per week as a striker...and he misses from 5 yards,as he did second half...then that is so typical of the old/new Cobra.

Will he ever improve and become consistent ? Or is he unable to basically finally master the art of goal scoring, that the club are paying him to do. It's a fair question

At least Carlton Cole is a bona fide striker who has scored 63 goals in his 251 appearances for us over the last 7 years.
