aaah ,I see that old cumbrian myopic mentality-anything from outside is wrong so be suspicious of strangers? you'll be throwing rocks at the moon next

in the first 20 minutes it was one of the most sublime+intense pieces of football i have seen .

They blew arsenal away. Nevermind that they were scousers or it was in the premiership- as a lover of football it was worth seeing.

If only carlisle united could summon up 10% of that energy-if i was kavanagh i would show the team the first 20 minutes. Study and analyse.

Spot on "durhamblue", unfortunately we do not have a single player who is even 1% capable of learning anything constructive from the experience. Workrate possibly acceptable, flair/skill Zero.

Well Durham, I was on my way to watching Carlisle United play, I popped into to 2 pubs and they were both full of glory seekers watching the game on Sky sports. I watched the highlights on match of the day. But during saturday afternoon I DID NOT CARE! OK!

Another thing the last thing you or anyone would call me is myopic. Ive lived and worked all over the world for the last 26 years and will be expanding my horizons even more in a months time. When you're stuck in North East England pal, Ill be in Brazil working, enriching other people improving there communities and livelihoods! Because thats what I do, I'm a human doing not a human being!

What an intelligent comment.
From the boring racist xenophobe.

Your being a little bit unfair there guys. Brunton was making a point that he didn't give a **** about Liverpool he was given a little bit of grief so I stuck up for him. Ive seen people blew away when they've mentioned Manchester United because "it's not Carlisle". Grow up you bolshy ****s.

Hey Durham, keep watching the skies!

The only way I would be interested in a thread about "the scousers" (or ANY Prem club) would be If Carlisle were 4 nowt up against them!!

you all seem to have missed the point-it was sublime football that carlisle..any team could learn from.any football lover should relish.

But instead all i got was people blinded by the fact it mentioned scousers and/or i posted.

The reason this messageboard is going down the tubes are the insults, crass language and a total lack of imagination.

666 you are an arch exponent.you'll just have to get over me.

Sorry Durham, I didn't mean to be offensive.
I sometimes think being a Carlisle fan actually makes results/survival/success for the Blues all consuming, even to the point of not accepting or enjoying the skill and quality of other teams..
I think the last time I REALLY enjoyed football for footballs sake, was the great Forest/Clough era from the late 70's to the early 90's.
Great days.

Nowt wrong with admiring great football. It's just when you shout down someone for not giving a **** about a team that isn't theirs on a forum about their team I think it's a wee bit unfair. Is that a fair point for me to make or am I being racist/***ist/xenophobic or any of the other charges laid against me?

P.S. I love the city of Liverpool. One of the biggest regrets of my life was turning down a place at the university (school of life sciences) to go elsewhere.
